I am a licensed clinical social worker and therapist dedicated to providing compassionate, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed care. I specialize in working with adolescents, adults, and families who are navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, identity development, relationship issues, and life transitions. My practice integrates evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), tailored to meet each client’s unique needs. I am deeply committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel empowered to explore their stories, heal from emotional wounds, and build meaningful lives. Through our work together, clients often experience greater emotional resilience, improved self-esteem, and more fulfilling relationships. My goal is to support clients in reclaiming their voice, strengthening their coping skills, and fostering long-term mental wellness.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session together, my primary goal is to create a welcoming, safe, and nonjudgmental space where you can begin to share your story at your own pace. We will begin by discussing what brings you to therapy, any immediate concerns or goals you may have, and what you hope to gain from the therapeutic process. I’ll also ask some questions about your history, including emotional, physical, social, and cultural aspects, to gain a better understanding of the full picture of your experiences and how they may be impacting you today. If you are unsure where to start, that is okay; there is no pressure to have everything figured out. This session is also an opportunity for you to get a sense of how I work and to ask any questions you may have about the therapy process. Together, we will begin to outline a direction for our work based on your needs and values. Most importantly, you will leave knowing that this is a space where your voice matters, your story is honored, and your healing is possible.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My therapeutic approach blends evidence-based methods with cultural humility and trauma-informed care. I create a safe, affirming space where clients feel seen, supported, and empowered. Grounded in empathy and collaboration, I help clients build resilience, improve emotional regulation, and align their lives with their values for lasting, meaningful change.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am positioned to serve individuals, adolescents, adults, and families who are navigating emotional pain, identity struggles, or systemic barriers and are seeking a space to feel seen, heard, and empowered. My clients often carry the weight of anxiety, depression, trauma, cultural or generational expectations, and the pressures of high achievement or caregiving. Many come with a desire to break cycles, develop emotional resilience, and reclaim their voice after years of self-silencing or invalidation. I work well with clients who are introspective, motivated for change, or feeling stuck in patterns that no longer serve them. Whether they seek healing from trauma, healthier relationships, or greater alignment with their values, I walk alongside them with empathy, cultural humility, and evidence-based strategies. My approach affirms the whole person, mind, body, and cultural context, and honors their lived experiences as valid sources of wisdom. Ultimately, I help clients clarify their goals, reconnect with their inner strength, and build lives marked by self-trust, emotional freedom, and meaningful connection.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is widely used in psychotherapy because it is evidence-based, structured, and goal-oriented, making it effective for treating a wide range of mental health conditions.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is utilized in psychotherapy because it enables individuals to develop psychological flexibility, the ability to remain present, accept challenging thoughts and feelings, and take action aligned with their values. Rather than trying to eliminate distress, ACT teaches clients how to accept it, reframe it, and live meaningfully in spite of it.

Culturally Sensitive Therapy

Culturally sensitive therapy ensures mental health care is respectful, inclusive, and responsive to clients’ cultural identities. It builds trust, reduces bias, and improves engagement by validating lived experiences and adapting interventions to align with diverse worldviews, ultimately promoting equity and effectiveness in therapeutic relationships and treatment outcomes.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is an evidence-based form of psychotherapy developed to treat individuals with intense emotional dysregulation, especially those with borderline personality disorder. It combines cognitive-behavioral techniques with concepts of mindfulness, acceptance, and dialectics (balancing opposites).
