LCSW, 1 years of experience
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) committed to supporting adults of all ages and backgrounds. I've served in the United States Army, worked in dialysis, hospital and PACE settings. I have 12+ years' experience as an LCSW. I've worked with veterans, LGBTQ, diverse religious/spiritual backgrounds, and just about every other walk of life. I'm committed to providing a safe space where we can have a conversation to work towards achieving your goals and feel empowered to face life's challenges.
In our first session we will get to know each other. I'll provide an overview of the therapeutic process. We'll explore areas you'd like to work on during our sessions. I want to ensure you feel comfortable, safe, and supported.
I have deep empathy and respect for each individual's walk of life.
I enjoy working with adults of all ages and backgrounds.
I use CBT to help you connect the dots between your thoughts, feelings, and actions. Together we identify tools and techniques that can help you reframe your mindset to manage your emotions. This is in turn can allow you to take healthy positive actions when facing challenges in your life.
I've worked with individuals and facilitated a grief support group to help people process their grief and loss. Grief comes in many forms to include the loss of a loved one, a pet, a relationship, a job. We will work together to navigate the emotional complexities that come with grief and loss.
I use DBT to help individuals develop emotional regulation, coping skills, and communication skills.
