Hello, and welcome! I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 10 years of experience in the mental health field. My background spans a variety of care settings, and I’m dedicated to providing compassionate, client-centered therapy as you navigate life’s challenges. I take a flexible, holistic approach to therapy, drawing on different therapeutic techniques to help you gain insight, self-awareness, and practical tools for coping. Above all, my work is grounded in empathy and a deep commitment to your well-being. Together, we’ll explore your concerns, identify areas of growth, and work toward building a more fulfilling life.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
I understand how intimidating it can be to start therapy with a new provider, and my goal is to make you feel comfortable, supported, and heard from the first session. In our initial meeting, we’ll discuss your goals for therapy—no need to have everything figured out right away.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
My greatest strengths as a provider are my compassion and deep commitment to my clients' well-being. I genuinely care about each person's journey and work hard to create a safe, supportive space where they feel heard and understood. This commitment drives me to tailor my approach to each individual, ensuring they receive the care and guidance they need to thrive.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I specialize in helping adults who are struggling with stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, job-related stress, and life transitions. I believe therapy works best as a collaborative process. I don’t offer quick fixes or advice meant to override your own wisdom. Instead, I support clients in developing insight, capacity, and agency so that change comes from within and lasts beyond each session.
Person-centered (Rogerian)
As a therapist using Person-Centered Therapy, I provide a nonjudgmental and empathetic environment, allowing clients to explore their thoughts and feelings freely, fostering self-awareness and personal growth.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
As a therapist using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I help clients identify and challenge negative thought patterns and behaviors, empowering them to develop healthier coping strategies and improve their emotional well-being.

I really liked the attentiveness and active listening and responding. Whitney was warm and personable. The book recommendations were excellent and very helpful. It was a great (and very helpful) session!

I enjoyed speaking with Whitney. She seems to be very organized and planning ways that I could work on my anxiety about my son leaving and I appreciate that and I’m looking forward to working with her.
