Chinyere Otuya is an understanding and cooperative family psychiatric and mental health nurse practitioner. As a part of her education, she attended Walden University. Here, she received her master's degree in psychiatric and mental health nursing. Ms. Otuya is dedicated to assisting her patients in leading mentally healthier lives. She meets with each of them to explain how they might improve their health by making better choices. She has experience working with patients with several mental health conditions with medication management. I am also very familiar with the needs of our folks with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD). These experiences have prepared me to adequately support our patients of all ages, cognitive abilities, and works of life.
Ms. Otuya definitely takes her time to listen to each patients and review their medical and mental health conditions. With this information, she is able to come up with a patient-centered treatment plan with each patient. Patients also are given opportunity to express their needs during each session.
Ms. Otuya uses the patient centered approach with her patients. She does not use the one-treatment fit for every of her patients.
Ms. Otuya works well with patients with several mental health conditions such as ADD/ADHD, Depression, and Autism. She also manages patients with Bipolar and related diagnoses, Anxiety - Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Panic Disorder, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and Social Phobia (or Social Anxiety Disorder). Acute stress disorders, Schizophrenia/Schizoaffective disorder, and other mental health issues.
