What sets me apart is my ability to combine clinical expertise with genuine compassion and a whole-person approach to care. My background as a nurse, along with years of experience in healthcare, allows me to see beyond symptoms and truly understand the connection between mental, physical, and emotional well-being. I have experience working with individuals across different stages of care, which has strengthened my ability to assess, diagnose, and create effective, individualized treatment plans. My training as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, along with hands-on clinical experience in behavioral health settings, has equipped me to support clients dealing with anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, and life transitions with confidence and skill. What truly makes my approach unique is how I partner with you. I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all model—I take the time to listen, understand your story, and tailor care to your specific needs. I integrate evidence-based therapies with practical, real-life strategies you can actually use day to day. Clients often find that working with me feels both structured and supportive. You’ll gain tools, clarity, and a deeper understanding of yourself while feeling respected and heard throughout the process. My goal is not just symptom relief, but helping you build lasting resilience, balance, and a sense of control over your life and that of your loved ones.
My ideal client is someone who is ready for change even if they’re not fully sure where to start. I work well with individuals who may feel overwhelmed, anxious, emotionally drained, or stuck in patterns that no longer serve them but are open to growth, self-reflection, and healing. Many of my clients are young professionals, students, and adults navigating life transitions—whether it’s career stress, academic pressure, relationship challenges, pregnancy or postpartum changes, or adjusting to new roles and responsibilities. I also support individuals managing anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, or burnout who are looking for practical tools and meaningful, lasting change. I especially connect with clients who want a collaborative and respectful space where they feel heard, not judged. If you’re someone who values a holistic approach caring for your mental, emotional, and overall well-being and you’re open to learning new coping strategies, building resilience, and gaining clarity, we will work well together. You don’t have to have everything figured out. If you’re willing to show up, be honest, and take small steps forward, I’m here to guide and support you on that journey.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) In my practice, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you understand how your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected. Together, we’ll identify unhelpful thinking patterns that may be contributing to stress, anxiety, or low mood, and work on practical strategies to reframe those thoughts in a healthier way. CBT is structured and goal-oriented, so you’ll gain tools you can use in your daily life to feel more in control, build resilience, and improve your overall well-being.
Compassion Focused
Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) In our work together, I use Compassion-Focused Therapy to help you develop a kinder, more supportive relationship with yourself. Many people struggle with self-criticism, shame, or feeling “not good enough,” which can worsen anxiety, depression, and stress. This approach helps you understand where those patterns come from and how to gently shift them. We’ll focus on building self-compassion—learning how to respond to yourself with the same understanding and care you would offer to someone you love. Through simple exercises like guided reflection, calming techniques, and reframing negative self-talk, you’ll begin to feel safer in your own mind and more emotionally balanced. Over time, this can help reduce anxiety, improve mood, increase confidence, and allow you to approach challenges with greater resilience and self-acceptance.
Motivational Interviewing
Motivational Interviewing (MI) Motivational Interviewing is a supportive and non-judgmental approach that helps you explore your own reasons for change. Instead of telling you what to do, I work with you to understand what matters most to you, what’s been holding you back, and how you can move forward at your own pace. Together, we’ll build your confidence, strengthen your motivation, and create realistic steps toward your goals—whether that’s improving your mood, managing stress, making lifestyle changes, or staying consistent with treatment. You remain in control of your journey, and I’m here to guide and support you every step of the way.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
Mindfulness-Based Techniques In our sessions, I use mindfulness to help you stay grounded in the present moment instead of feeling overwhelmed by past experiences or future worries. Many people struggle with racing thoughts, stress, or emotional overload—mindfulness helps you slow down, become more aware of your thoughts and feelings, and respond in a calmer, more intentional way. We’ll practice simple techniques like focused breathing, body awareness, and gentle observation of your thoughts without judgment. Over time, this can help reduce anxiety, improve mood, increase emotional control, and create a greater sense of peace and clarity in your daily life.
Person-centered (Rogerian)
I use a personalized, evidence-based approach that combines Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and supportive techniques to help you understand your thoughts, manage emotions, and develop practical coping skills. When appropriate, I also provide medication management as part of a comprehensive care plan.”
