About me

I'm Erik Kahn, a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, yogi, and golfer. I studied Somatic Psychology at the California Institute for Integral Studies and am passionate about guiding individuals towards greater joy. My down-to-earth, curious nature enables me to craft a dynamic, relatable approach to therapy that is both engaging and effective. I am committed to helping individuals feel more free and alive in their bodies, reclaim their power, and foster a profound sense of self-love and resilience.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we'll walk through the intake process together, understand your current needs, and start defining your goals. From there, my priority is to make you feel comfortable and nurture a strong, trusting relationship.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I believe my greatest strength as a therapist lies in my own life experiences. I pursued this path after life’s challenges led me to therapy, where an open mind helped me regain my power and self-love. Having navigated the depths of hardship myself, I connect deeply with my clients. This enables me to create a safe, loving, and authentic space for healing that feels natural and genuine.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am joyfully committed to supporting clients from various backgrounds, with a particular focus on cis men, as I find a personal connection there. My expertise lies in helping individuals rediscover joy and enhance their self-esteem, self-worth, and confidence. I also guide them through the complexities of grief, anger, and isolation. Additionally, I provide support for managing anxiety, depression, and ADHD/impulsivity. My approach is grounded in empathy and a genuine desire to see others thrive.

I felt he could understand some of the underling issues. Spoke with out judgment, he set up an appointment for next week same time. We also spoke of each week meeting at the same time, I feel consistence is a good way to see progress. Overall I felt comfortable speaking with him and looking forward to overcoming the anxiety and fear I often experience.
