About me

I have been practicing psychotherapy for more than 20 years, providing a supportive space to explore challenges, gain insight, and create meaningful change. I hold a master’s degree in social work and am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). My approach integrates evidence-based practices with a focus on helping clients build resilience, develop new perspectives, and move toward balance in their lives.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, my priority is to create a comfortable and trusting environment where you can share openly at your own pace. We’ll spend time clarifying what brings you to therapy and explore the approach that feels like the best fit for your needs. Together, we’ll begin connecting the daily challenges you’re experiencing with the bigger patterns in your life, laying the foundation for the work ahead. My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling understood, supported, and ready to take the next step in the process.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is creating a balance between support and challenge. I provide a safe and nonjudgmental space where clients feel understood, while also encouraging them to step outside their comfort zone and try new approaches. My integrative style—drawing from interpersonal, psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, and existential therapies—allows me to tailor treatment to each client’s needs. Clients often tell me that I help them make practical progress on daily challenges while also uncovering deeper patterns and insights that lead to lasting growth.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal clients are individuals who want more than symptom relief—they are seeking greater insight, stronger relationships, and a clearer sense of who they are. Many are navigating anxiety, depression, or life transitions, and they are drawn to therapy as a space to connect daily struggles with deeper patterns and possibilities.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

For 23 years I have been using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. CBT is one of the most researched therapeutic frameworks, connecting our thoughts, emotions and behaviors to find opportunities to change symptoms like depression and anxiety as well as many other challenging issues.

Interpersonal

I often use Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), which focuses on the ways relationships, life transitions, and social connections affect mood and well-being. IPT provides a structured way to address challenges like role changes, grief, or conflicts, while also creating space to build healthier patterns of relating. Alongside IPT, I may draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and other modalities to support concrete skill-building. At the same time, I view the therapeutic relationship itself as a powerful vehicle for change—helping clients work toward practical goals while also opening the door to deeper growth and insight.

Psychodynamic

I also incorporate psychodynamic therapy to explore deeper psychological territory, including questions of meaning, identity, and purpose. This approach allows us to look beneath surface-level symptoms and connect present challenges with earlier life experiences, including developmental trauma. Themes from Jungian and Existential Psychotherapy guide much of this work, offering ways to explore identity development, navigate major life transitions, and address the search for meaning in times of uncertainty. Through this process, clients can gain greater self-understanding and a stronger sense of direction in their lives.
