New to Grow
I’m a mental health therapist dedicated to helping individuals who are in the process of finding themselves. I work with clients who may feel uncertain about their identity, direction, or sense of purpose, and who are ready to explore those questions in a supportive, nonjudgmental space. As a first-generation Latina and a mom, I bring both personal and professional insight into the therapy space. I understand the unique pressures that can come with navigating multiple roles, cultural expectations, and generational experiences. This perspective allows me to approach my work with cultural humility, empathy, and a deep respect for each client’s lived experience. My approach is rooted in trauma-informed care and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I believe that our past experiences shape how we see ourselves and the world, and I strive to create a safe and collaborative environment where you can better understand those patterns without feeling overwhelmed or judged. Together, we’ll explore the connections between your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while building practical tools to support meaningful change.
Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and it’s completely normal to feel a mix of emotions—whether that’s nervousness, curiosity, or even uncertainty. The first session is designed to be a comfortable and welcoming space where we begin getting to know each other. During this session, we’ll talk about what brings you to therapy, what you’ve been experiencing, and what you hope to get out of the process in order to better understand your needs and how I can support you in this process. You’re welcome to share as much or as little as you feel comfortable.
One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my ability to show up as my genuine self. I believe authenticity is essential in building a meaningful therapeutic relationship, and I strive to create a space where you feel you can do the same. I also bring a sense of humor into my work when appropriate. I believe that even in the midst of difficult conversations, moments of lightness can be healing and help make the process feel more approachable and human. Above all, I prioritize helping my clients feel comfortable and safe. I am intentional about creating an environment that is warm, nonjudgmental, and supportive, where you can openly share your thoughts and experiences at your own pace. My goal is for you to feel at ease being yourself in our sessions—knowing that you are heard, respected, and supported every step of the way.
My ideal client is someone who is in the process of finding themselves—an individual who may feel uncertain about their identity, life direction, or sense of purpose. They may be navigating transitions, questioning long-held beliefs, or feeling disconnected from who they truly are. Often, they come in experiencing anxiety, self-doubt, or a persistent inner critic that makes it difficult to trust themselves or make confident decisions.
Trauma Informed Care
In session I integrate trauma-informed care into all aspects of our work together by recognizing the impact trauma can have on emotional, psychological, and behavioral functioning. I approach each client with the understanding that trauma may shape how they perceive safety, relationships, and themselves. I prioritize establishing a strong therapeutic alliance grounded in safety, trust, and transparency. This includes maintaining consistency, clearly explaining the therapeutic process, and collaborating with clients to set goals that align with their values and readiness for change. I am intentional about creating a space where clients feel empowered, heard, and respected.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as an evidence-based approach to support clients in understanding the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. CBT provides a structured, goal-oriented framework that helps clients identify and modify unhelpful thinking patterns that contribute to emotional distress and maladaptive behaviors.
