Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

I believe that taking the first step into therapy requires immense courage, and I honor that by ensuring our first session is grounded in safety, warmth, and genuine connection. My goal is to make our initial meeting a collaborative, gentle space—not an interrogation. What to Expect in Our First Session: You Set the Pace: We will not jump into heavy trauma details right away. Instead, we will focus on getting to know each other, discussing what brings you in, and identifying what 'a little better' looks like to you. Safety First: If a topic feels too overwhelming, we can pause or shift gears. You are in control of your story and the pacing of your healing. Collaboration: We will chat about your current challenges, support systems, and goals for therapy. This is a two-sided conversation designed to build a supportive partnership. No Pressure: There is no need to 'prepare' or have your story perfectly organized. Simply show up as you are. My approach is entirely trauma-informed and whole-hearted, meaning I prioritize your emotional safety, respect your boundaries, and honor your pace. You don’t have to carry your burdens alone, and I am here to walk alongside you in this process.

The treatment methods and tools I utilize

Some of the treatment modalities used during our sessions would be CBT, DBT, scales and ratings to measure where you are and how we can move forward, exposure therapy, skill learning, deep breathing, motivational interviewing, thought reconstructing and rehabilitation, behavioral modifications, scales utilized for ADHD, stress management techniques, empathetic listening and much more!

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My approach is rooted in the belief that healing happens through genuine connection, not just clinical techniques. I offer a soft place to land for those navigating the heavy weight of trauma, anxiety, and depression, prioritizing a relationship built on unwavering empathy and deep compassion. I don’t see myself as the "expert" fixing you, but as a dedicated collaborator walking alongside you. What stands out in our work together is the balance of safety and progress. By blending evidence-based methods with a trauma-informed lens, I help you untangle the roots of your distress without forcing you to relive it. Something I admire and take pride in is being specialized in Anxiety and Depression. My biggest strengths would be helping you work through Anxiety , Trauma and Depression. Pin pointing exactly where these problems may arise and how to turn them into success. It can be a challenge navigating that alone. Sometimes working through anxiety can look a number of different ways depending on your unique situation. This could be practicing how to enter a room full of people or identifying how to manage intrusive thoughts that prohibit your daily functioning. Anxiety and depression can be two of the most stressful obstacles to endeavor. I utilize various techniques to help manage anxiety and Depression. It is important to work through the triggers that may come alongside with it. To support your healing journey, I integrate several evidence-based, trauma-informed modalities tailored to your unique needs: Internal Family Systems (IFS): We work together to understand the different "parts" of your internal system. By developing a compassionate relationship with protective or wounded parts, we can foster internal harmony and self-leadership. Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR): I use this structured method to help your brain reprocess and release stuck traumatic memories. This allows for rapid desensitization of distressing events without requiring you to talk through every painful detail. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): I provide practical, action-oriented tools to help you identify and shift negative thought patterns and behaviors. This helps manage the daily symptoms of anxiety and depression while we address deeper roots. In addition, with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I also provide the practical tools to help identify and restructure the negative "core beliefs" (such as "I am not enough") that often take root during difficult childhoods. Attachment-Based Therapy: We explore the relational wounds formed in early childhood—such as neglect or inconsistent caregiving—to build a secure "therapeutic base" where you can safely explore and shift current relationship patterns. Somatic Experiencing & Body Awareness: Because trauma is often stored in the body, we use "bottom-up" techniques like breathwork and grounding to help your nervous system release stored tension and return to a state of safety. Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Skills: I incorporate mindfulness and emotional regulation tools to help you manage intense feelings and distress in the present moment. The synergy of these methods allows us to address the multi-faceted nature of trauma across mental, emotional, and physical dimensions. The people whom I work with often find that the most profound results come from finally feeling relieved and confident. They have felt that being truly seen and heard creates the foundation needed to move from merely surviving to living with newfound clarity, resilience, and ease. Whatever therapeutic route we take, Either way, I’ve got you covered!
