(she/her)
HI, I’m Dr. Sherrie a licensed psychologist (PSY33937) based in Southern California. I provide telehealth therapy to adolescents and adults across the state. I hold a degree of Doctor of Education in Counseling Psychology, and I bring 18 years of experience from working with children, adolescents, and adults experiencing anxiety and depression. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness to empower you to gain greater control over your thoughts and emotions, advocate for what you need, and cope with what you can’t get. Please note, I am unable to provide the following services at this time: Employment Letters (i.e., work accommodation, disability), Legal letters, Immigration Letters, Emotional Support Animal (ESA) letters, Psychological Testing, and Medication management.
Ultimately, my aim is to empower you to connect with your inner resources, allowing you to find greater calm and more effectively manage daily stressors, such as focusing on and completing tasks, communicating effectively with others, and meeting your own needs.
I have 18 years of experience in mental health, and I'm passionate about helping you improve your self-esteem, self-confidence, self-reliance, and inner peace. You'll find me to be nurturing and supportive, yet direct when needed to help you achieve meaningful change. My approach is rooted in professionalism and ethical care, but I also believe in using warmth and relatable humor to help you feel more at ease and connected in our sessions.
Anxiety & Stress Management: Including general anxiety, panic attacks, social anxiety, and strategies for effectively managing daily stressors. I believe in providing everyone with quality, culturally sensitive mental health treatment, from assessment to termination. I most frequently use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to address common thinking errors resulting in self-doubt, low self-esteem, low motivation, isolation, and avoidance.
