New to Grow
I am an LCSW who is currently working in the community to assist individuals and groups from all walks of life. When I am not at work I enjoy running, reading, and my dogs. My goal is to help those that I am working with achieve a more desired life. I appreciate learning about new people and groups and finding new ways of helping others. My goal in therapy is always to do no harm and to help learn ways to make each day more livable.
The first session is usually just an overview of what your expectations are for therapy as well as an overview of confidentiality, discussing treatment goals, and working to build rapport by discussing basic interests and how life feels.
I am able to sit back and allow space in the room for silence when it is needed, but I also know that we all can use a push every now and again, and I am willing to give that when needed as well.
I enjoy working with individuals or groups who are motivated to participate in therapy and navigate life's challenges and working towards achieving goals. I enjoy working with those who are open-minded and ready to work towards bettering life. Enjoy working with clients who are willing to work towards goal progression outside of therapy. Enjoy using reading, podcasts, music, as well as other forms of media in practice and always open to learning more from individuals on what works best for them.

CBT Certified. Used in most sessions with an integrated approach. CBT is used to help notice unhelpful thoughts, challenge those thoughts, replace them with more beneficial thoughts, and learn more beneficial behaviors.
Couples Counseling
Worked with couples for 7 years at this time. Helping couples explore reasoning for wanting to be in therapy and ways for them to grow and communicate in a more beneficial way.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
DBT Certified. Used in most sessions with an integrated approach. DBT is used to help build concrete skills to manage emotions, distress tolerance, and ways to improve interpersonal relationships.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
Used as part of an integrated approach. We work together to identify concerns and find best practices for overcoming these concerns.
Gender-affirming therapy
Working with individuals to understand and accept themselves for who they are.
