I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor and LPC-Supervisor with over 15 years of experience supporting individuals and couples through life’s challenges and transitions. I bring a warm, authentic presence to the therapy space and strive to create a relationship built on trust, respect, and collaboration. Through strong therapeutic rapport and intentional, evidence-based approaches, we work together to identify meaningful goals and move toward the change you’re seeking. My hope is that therapy feels not only supportive, but empowering and helps you gain clarity, confidence, and tools you can carry forward.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In your first session, you can expect a welcoming and supportive space where we focus on getting to know one another. In addition to reviewing your assessment forms, we’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, what you’re hoping to gain, and what feels most important to address right now. There’s no pressure to share everything at once—this is your space, and we’ll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you. We’ll also discuss how I work, answer any questions you may have, and begin identifying goals for therapy that feel realistic and meaningful to you. By the end of the session, many clients leave with a clearer understanding of next steps and at least one practical takeaway or area of focus to reflect on between sessions.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I bring over 15 years of experience as a Licensed Professional Counselor and LPC-Supervisor, working across outpatient substance use treatment, court-mandated and CPS-involved care, individual and couples therapy, and supervision. What sets me apart is my ability to create a warm, grounded, and non-judgmental space where clients feel safe enough to be honest and empowered to lead their own change. I blend structure with flexibility, using evidence-based approaches to help clients gain clarity, build on their strengths, and take practical steps forward. My experience working with complex, high-pressure situations has shaped a calm, collaborative style that honors each client’s autonomy while anchoring therapy in what truly motivates growth and lasting change.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I enjoy working with women, young adults, couples, those navigating life transitions, grief and loss, as well as premarital counseling clients. I am also available to supervise Licensed Professional Counselor Associates in the State of Texas.

My treatment methods

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

My approach is solution-focused and future-oriented. I’ll gather a brief understanding of your history, but we won’t spend endless time revisiting the past. Instead, we’ll focus on what you want to change, what’s already working in your life, and how to build on those strengths. Using Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, we’ll create practical steps you can apply immediately so you feel empowered, hopeful, and equipped to move forward.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients understand how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected. Together, we look at the patterns that may be keeping you stuck and work on practical ways to challenge unhelpful thinking, build healthier habits, and respond differently to life’s stressors. CBT is very hands-on and focused on skills you can actually use between sessions—not just insights, but real change. For clients who want therapy that aligns with their faith, I can also integrate CBT with Christian beliefs and values. This might include exploring how your thoughts align with biblical truth, strengthening your sense of identity and purpose, and using faith-based principles to support emotional healing and personal growth. Faith is never forced—it’s simply woven in when it’s meaningful to you and supports the work we’re doing.

Motivational Interviewing

I use Motivational Interviewing (MI) to support clients who may feel unsure, pressured, or conflicted about change. Much of my experience comes from working in an outpatient substance use treatment setting with individuals who were recently incarcerated or mandated to treatment by the courts, CPS, or concerned loved ones. I understand that not everyone comes to therapy feeling ready—or even willing—to change, and that’s okay. MI is a client-led approach that honors your autonomy and lived experience. Rather than telling you what you should do, I help you explore what matters most to you and what motivates you to move forward. Together, we identify your personal reasons for change and use those motivations as the foundation for treatment. My role is to support, guide, and anchor the work in what will help you build meaningful, sustainable change—on your terms.
