New to Grow
Hello! Originally from the Pacific Northwest, I bring a nature-inspired, grounded approach to healing, encouraging clients to find balance amidst life’s challenges. With a background of travel around the US and the Mediterranean, and having served in both the US Navy and the US Army, I bring a unique perspective on resilience and adapting to change. Deeply passionate about psychology, I felt a calling for therapy early in my education and have found my niche supporting individuals working through crisis and trauma. There is nothing more fulfilling than guiding clients through profound, positive transformations, and I am committed to walking alongside you in your journey toward a better tomorrow.
In our first session, we’ll focus on creating a safe, welcoming space where you can share your story at your own pace. My primary goal is to truly understand the challenges you’re facing and the experiences that have brought you here. After we briefly review your intake paperwork together, we’ll dive into a relaxed, collaborative conversation about what’s currently troubling you and identify your personal goals. To ensure you feel supported from day one, we will also identify at least one immediate coping tool or strategy you can begin using as soon as our meeting ends.
Drawing from my time in the Navy and Army, I bring an unshakeable presence to every session, providing a steady hand and a judgment-free zone even in the midst of a crisis. I pride myself on making the therapeutic process easily understood, stripping away complex jargon to focus on what actually works for you. My greatest strength lies in my ability to help you foster deep resilience, turning past trauma into a foundation for future growth. Clients often share that they finally feel "truly heard" and "finally seen" in our work together, finding a level of understanding that allows them to move forward with newfound clarity and strength.
I love working with survivors of trauma who have felt overwhelmed by traditional talk therapy and are seeking a more somatic and structured approach to recovery. As an EMDR-trained therapist, I specialize in helping clients with PTSD move past overwhelming emotions and physical sensations without having to relive the trauma in painful detail. My ideal client is someone ready to blend deep, insightful EMDR reprocessing with practical CBT tools and mindful, body-centered techniques to reduce anxiety and create lasting safety. They are committed to their healing process and appreciate the convenience of telehealth, allowing them to engage in this work from a safe and familiar environment.
EMDR
EMDR is a safe, fast, effective treatment for Trauma, PTSD, Depression, Anxiety, and more. I have been successfully using it with clients for 3 years now. Research has show EMDR is just as effective over telehealth as it is in person. I do encourage clients to look up what other people have said about EMDR and their personal results. If you are feeling stuck, this may be the treatment that helps you become un-stuck. But don't worry we will discuss this more in-depth if this is the treatment for you.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
CBT is research backed and empirically studied modality to treat mental suffering. There is a lot here to help you understand your thinking patterns, behavioral patterns, and what emotions are coming up and why. There will be lots of exercises for you to choose from to take home in between sessions to practice on a regular basis.
