(she/her)
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a certification in perinatal mental health (PMH-C). I specialize in supporting individuals through pregnancy, postpartum, and the early transition into parenthood. My experience working with families in the NICU is what really sparked my passion for this work. I saw firsthand how overwhelming, emotional, and isolating that experience can be—especially for parents of medically fragile or hospitalized newborns. That work continues to deeply shape how I support clients today. I work with people navigating a wide range of perinatal experiences, including anxiety, depression, trauma, identity shifts, and the emotional challenges that can come with becoming a parent. This period of life can bring a lot of unexpected feelings, and it’s not uncommon to feel unsure, anxious, or unlike yourself. I also recognize that opening up during pregnancy or postpartum can feel especially vulnerable, particularly when there’s fear of being judged or not feeling like the parent you “should” be. Many people carry a lot silently during this time, and it can take real courage to reach out for support. I aim to create a space that feels steady, supportive, and grounded, where you can talk openly about what you’re going through without feeling like you have to filter or hold back. If you’re navigating a difficult pregnancy, postpartum experience, or early parenting challenges, you don’t have to go through it alone.
In our first session, we’ll start by getting to know each other and talking about what brought you to therapy. There’s no pressure to share everything at once—we’ll go at a pace that feels comfortable for you. I may ask some questions about your current concerns, history, and what support you’re hoping for so we can start to get a sense of what’s going on together. My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, supported, and with a clearer sense of how we might work together.
One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is helping clients feel safe enough to talk about what’s really going on, especially during emotionally vulnerable times. I specialize in perinatal mental health, including pregnancy and infant loss, and my work with NICU families continues to inform how I support clients through anxiety, grief, and uncertainty in early parenthood. I take a collaborative, supportive approach and help clients better understand their experiences while also finding ways to feel more grounded in daily life.
I work best with clients who are navigating pregnancy, postpartum, or early parenthood and feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or emotionally stretched. This may include experiences like NICU stays, high-risk pregnancies, or pregnancy and infant loss. Many people I support are trying to make sense of a life stage that feels more emotionally intense or different than expected and are looking for a space to feel understood and less alone.
EMDR
I use EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to support clients in processing difficult or overwhelming experiences in a way that feels safe and manageable. My approach is especially supportive for perinatal experiences such as birth trauma, NICU stays, pregnancy or infant loss, and anxiety in early parenthood. We move at a pace that feels safe and manageable, with a focus on helping you feel grounded throughout the process. EMDR can help reduce the emotional intensity of difficult experiences so they feel less overwhelming and more manageable over time.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
I use Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) to help clients build on their strengths and what’s already working, even during difficult times. We focus on small, meaningful steps forward and notice moments of relief and resilience so change feels more possible and less overwhelming. My approach is collaborative, practical, and grounded in what feels doable in everyday life.
Trauma Informed Care
I take a trauma-informed approach to care, which means I prioritize safety, trust, and collaboration in the therapeutic process. I’m mindful of pacing and work closely with clients so they never feel rushed or overwhelmed when talking about difficult experiences, including those related to birth, pregnancy, early parenthood, or NICU experiences. My goal is to create a steady, supportive space where you can feel grounded, respected, and in control as you move through healing at a pace that feels right for you.
