Angie Glick
I work with children, adolescents, and adults navigating challenges related to identity, emotional well-being, self-worth, and life transitions. My areas of focus include navigating anxiety, social phobia, bullying, neurodivergence, relationship betrayals, codependency, and the emotional strain of having a family member with a personality disorder. I also work with educators carrying the stress of their work and young mothers navigating parenting and life transitions. I offer a compassionate and collaborative space where you can explore your experiences and move toward growth. I take a humanistic and Adlerian approach, grounded in the belief that you are the expert on your own life. I draw from mindfulness, Internal Family Systems, somatic practices, inner child work, polyvagal theory, and Radical Acceptance based on what works best for you.
First session
We'll take time to get to know one another and explore what brings you to therapy. I'll ask about your goals and listen closely to what feels most important to you. I'll also check in regularly to make sure the process feels right for you. You'll always be invited to share feedback and make this space your own.
Strengths
With over 20 years of experience, I bring an eclectic approach to therapy. I am able to pull from multiple modalities to meet your needs. My healing journey has shaped how I show up as a therapist. The approaches that helped me most, embodied, and rooted in self-awareness, are the same ones I now bring into session. I truly believe in each person's capacity to heal, grow, and build a meaningful life. I bring a genuine sense of care, humor, and curiosity to each session. I aim to create a nonjudgmental space where you feel safe to speak honestly and openly. Together, we'll clarify what matters most to you and define goals that reflect your values and needs. As we progress, we'll revisit those goals and adjust them as needed.
Ideal clients
Teens and adults navigating anxiety, depression, neurodivergence, relationship betrayals, codependency, and the emotional strain of having a family member with a personality disorder. I also work with educators carrying the stress of their work and young mothers navigating parenting and life transitions. I most prefer working with people who identify as female, non-binary, or gender fluid. I would like to work with people who are open to somatic work, breath work, and inner child healing.
Treatment methods
Somatic
We will take a body-based approach, identifying feelings and sensations in the body and learning to listen to and connect with the body.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
We will use mindfulness to accept and connect with feelings and what is happening in the present rather than avoiding and explore values to determine goals and action steps to move forward.
Adlerian
We will explore early memories and family history that has shaped who you are as well as ways to explore what you want in your life to bring purpose and meaning.
