Hello! I’m so happy that you are considering seeking therapy. As someone who has received therapy myself, I know how hard it is to make that first step. Here are a few things about me that may help you determine if I am someone you want to continue with. I am originally from Mississippi, and went to Mississippi state university for my masters degree. (I do have a cowbell). I am also a massive soccer and football fan. I have extensive experience with trauma recovery specifically abusive relationships, abusive parents as a child, domestic violence, and systemic and systematic trauma. I also have experience with depression, anxiety, and post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). If I sound like a good fit for you, and you feel ready to begin your healing journey, please feel free to schedule an appointment. I look forward to working with you and walking alongside you in your path toward freedom.
This will be our intake session, so I will ask a lot of questions! This is also the first time we will be meeting so we will focus a lot on what therapy means to you and how I can best support you.
I value relationships and emphasize how important it is that we have a trusting and safe relationship.

Prolonged exposure therapy is used to help people integrate traumatic experiences into their everyday life by using exposure methods. This may look like writing, saying, drawing, and imagining, the trauma in a muscle relaxed body.
CBT can be useful to help people increase awareness of their thoughts, behaviors, and emotions.
The relationship between the therapist and client is the most important aspect of the therapeutic alliance. I will show up as a genuine and authentic version of myself.
