New to Grow
My name is Carissa. I am a retired Air Force Master Sergeant and now a LCSW clinical therapist. I am married to my best friend d of 35 years and have two children. I graduated from the University of Louisville in 2023 with two masters degrees in social work. I currently am working as an associate director for in home care with families battling addiction and mental health issues.
Our first session will be very relaxed and more of a getting to know you call.
My greatest strength as a clinician is that I have lived through the areas in which I have my experience. I offer a unique perspective and a lot of empathy.
My passion is helping those affected by addiction and mental health. Often these two go hand in hand. I am also a veteran, and love to help my fellow veterans. I have lived both the life of an addict and a veteran and have lived experiences with both these populations. I come without any judgement and a lot of empathy.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use CBT to strengthen the client-therapist alliance and empower the client in their treatment .
