I am a licensed clinical mental health counselor (LCMHC)in North Carolina with 7 years of professional work experience. I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, relationship issues, family conflicts, life transitions & depression. I believe that you are the expert of your story and that you have many strengths that will assist you in overcoming things that challenge you. Taking the first step to sign up for therapy can take courage and I am proud of you for getting started! I approach therapy as an interactive process and I enjoy working collaboratively with clients and utilizing methods that best fit each individual's needs.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions and then dive into any issues that you are having. This is your time! The more information you give the better I can help you come up with a specific plan to tackle any challenges that you are facing.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I specialize in helping individuals and families during tough times and enabling individuals from all walks of life to have improved mental health and subsequently overcome barriers. While do take a very pragmatic approach to counseling, believe in partnering with clients to foster healing, introspection and growth.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

One treatment method that clients find helpful is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. This therapeutic mode helps you take a close look at your thoughts and emotions and helps you understand how they affect your actions. Through CBT you can unlearn negative thoughts and behaviors and learn to adopt healthier thinking patters and habits.

Christian Counseling

Therapy is essentially relational and when we show up, our faith does too. It is part of us. I believe that integrating faith into the counseling experience helps to develop a stronger faith and self-image.

Strength-Based

I believe that you have the skills within you to overcome the issues that are causing discomfort. I work with clients to figure out their strengths and how to use their strengths to have a better, more satisfying life.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I have experience helping people solve specific problems quickly using solution focused methods with proven results over a short number of sessions.
