New to Grow
I have 18 years of experience in the field and have worked with adults of all ages and youth. I have facilitated support groups in English and Spanish, including those for stress management, relaxation, creative therapy and early recovery. I treat anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and substance abuse using a range of modalities, including mindfulness, CBT, and active listening. I have worked in mental health settings, employee assistance programs and family rehabilitation centers, helping clients to reduce depression, anxiety, stress, substance abuse and and a range of other issues in order to succeed in life and at work. I came to mental health from an artistic/performing arts background as well with a strong interest in helping others to succeed and to be happy.
The first session is an introductory session where I am getting to know you. We discuss what brought you to therapy and any goals that you may have as well as helping you to set those goals. I provide a safe and non-judgmental space in which you will (hopefully) feel comfortable to discuss whatever you choose and what may be most pressing for you.
I understand the challenges that may come with life's ups and downs, and instabilities. I will help to engage you in order to help you to get to know yourself and will challenge you when appropriate.
The ideal client is a working professional, artist or student dealing with life issues- family, relationships, work stress, anxiety and depression. The ideal client is willing to commit to therapy on a regular basis and explore their own patterns as well as work toward their goals. This person wants to improve their mental health and is willing to engage in self-exploration.
This method using the therapist-client relationship in order to foster personal growth.

This is an exploration of the mind using talk therapy and includes bringing unconscious thoughts and patterns into consciousness.
