New to Grow
Hello, my name is Jill Collins a licensed clinical therapist who is passionate about helping individuals navigate life’s challenges and build meaningful, fulfilling lives. I believe that everyone deserves a space where they can feel heard, understood, and supported without judgment. My approach is collaborative and tailored to your unique needs, focusing on helping you develop insight, resilience, and practical tools for change. I look forward to walking alongside you in your journey toward healing and growth.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
The first therapy session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin building a comfortable, supportive relationship. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, discuss your goals, and review important information about the therapy process such as confidentiality. You are welcome to share at your own pace and ask any questions you may have.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
What stands out about my work is the balance between insight, practical change and building a strong, trusting relationship with my clients. I help clients not only understand the underlying patterns behind their thoughts and behaviors but also develop concrete strategies they can use in their daily lives. My goal is for clients to leave therapy feeling more empowered, self-aware, and capable of handling life’s challenges.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
My ideal clients are individuals who may feel overwhelmed, stuck, or uncertain about how to move forward in their lives. They are seeking a safe space to process their emotions, understand patterns in their behavior, and develop healthier ways of coping. They may be dealing with anxiety, self-doubt, relationship challenges, or major life changes, and are motivated to engage in the therapeutic process.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is used to help clients identify unhelpful thoughts, understand how those thoughts influence emotions and behaviors, and develop healthier, more effective patterns. Sessions focus on building practical skills, such as reframing negative thinking, improving emotional regulation, and practicing new behaviors between appointments. Over time, CBT supports clients in gaining greater control over their responses and developing long‑term strategies for well‑being.
