Jessica M. Sepulveda, MSW, LCSW is a New Jersey licensed clinical social worker with over a decade of experience in trauma, complex family systems, and high-conflict relational dynamics. She founded Sepulveda Therapeutic Services as a deliberately small, boutique virtual practice, a place where every client receives her direct attention, her clinical precision, and her unhurried care. Her work spans family reunification, high-conflict couples counseling, trauma-informed care for adolescents, and recovery from narcissistic abuse. She brings advanced training in personality-related dynamics, including BPD-informed support and ODD behavioral strategy, alongside a systemic lens that decodes the patterns shaping the entire family, not just the person in the chair. Clients describe Jessica as direct, warm, and exceptionally attuned. She does not hide behind technique. She names what she sees, holds what is hard, and partners with you toward the kind of stillness that changes everything downstream. https://sepulvedatherapeuticservices.com

My treatment methods

Child Parent Psychotherapy

With over a decade of experience working with children and families, I use Child-Parent Psychotherapy to help strengthen attachment, improve communication, and support healing from trauma, behavioral challenges, and life transitions. My approach focuses on enhancing the caregiver-child relationship while building emotional security, resilience, and healthy coping skills for long-term family well-being.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns, develop healthier coping strategies, and improve emotional regulation. CBT allows clients to better understand the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, empowering them to make meaningful changes that reduce symptoms of anxiety, depression, stress, and other emotional difficulties. My approach is collaborative, practical, and tailored to each client’s unique goals and circumstances, with an emphasis on building skills that can be applied in everyday life.

Cognitive Processing (CPT)

I use Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) to help clients work through trauma by identifying and challenging stuck points related to safety, trust, control, esteem, and intimacy. This structured, evidence-based approach supports clients in processing traumatic experiences, reducing avoidance, and reshaping unhelpful trauma-related beliefs that interfere with daily functioning. My work with CPT is collaborative and paced to ensure emotional safety while helping clients build insight, reduce distress, and regain a sense of control and stability in their lives.

Couples Counseling

I provide couples therapy that focuses on improving communication, rebuilding emotional connection, and reducing patterns of conflict and disconnection. I work extensively with high-conflict couples and complex family systems, helping partners identify negative interaction cycles, increase emotional awareness, and develop healthier ways of responding to one another during moments of stress. My approach is direct, structured, and supportive, with an emphasis on accountability, emotional regulation, and practical tools that couples can use outside of session. I also integrate family systems work when appropriate, addressing how family-of-origin dynamics and external stressors impact the relationship. The goal of my work is to help couples move from reactivity and disconnection toward stability, mutual understanding, and more secure relational functioning.

Culturally Sensitive Therapy

I provide culturally responsive and sensitive therapy that honors each client’s identity, background, and lived experience. With extensive experience working in diverse public school districts and community settings, I have supported individuals and families across a wide range of cultural, racial, socioeconomic, and linguistic backgrounds. My approach is grounded in respect, curiosity, and humility, recognizing how culture, identity, family systems, and systemic factors shape emotional health and relational dynamics. I strive to create a safe, inclusive therapeutic space where clients feel understood without judgment, while tailoring interventions to align with their cultural values, beliefs, and experiences.
