New to Grow
I use a client-centered, psychodynamic approach to help clients reconnect with their deeper sense of self and wholeness. I am especially passionate about helping clients connect to the truth of who they are and identifying the stories and experiences that have shaped them. I work well with clients who are motivated to figure out what's in their way and take steps to create change.
Our first session is all about getting familiar with one another and gaining an understanding of how we will work together. I want to hear your story in your own words and begin to collaborate on what will help you grow toward your desired outcome for therapy.
I use my sense of humor liberally in therapy. I tend to be light-hearted and laugh if something is especially true. Therapy is my second career and my life experiences before this job have given me a lot of perspective and understanding. I have walked with people through many different stages of life and hope to be a warm and understanding presence because of that experience.
So much of life's difficulty comes from our refusal to understand, acknowledge, and accept our circumstances. ACT therapy is helpful in processing our issue and determining how to move forward with hope and acceptance.
