LCSW, 9 years of experience
I have over 9 years of experience working with children, parents and families of various backgrounds. I strive to create a safe place for you to express your concerns, to feel heard and understood. My approach is very individualized based on your current needs. I am interested in the whole person (mind, body, and spirit). As an EMDR and DBT therapist, I help adults who experience anxiety, depression and/or a trauma. Perhaps you are dealing with adjusting to a stressor, life transition or just life in general. I will work as a team with you to develop a treatment plan with goals to address your unique situation
In our first session, we’ll take things at your pace. No pressure to share your deepest secrets in the first five minutes (unless you want to). We’ll talk about what brings you in, what you’d like to get out of therapy, and what kind of support feels good for you. We might explore patterns, build coping skills, set goalsor just create space to breathe and feel human again.
In our work together, you can expect real talk, genuine support, and absolutely no awkward clipboard staring. My style is warm, collaborative, and sprinkled with humor (because sometimes life is so ridiculous, you just have to laugh and cry at the same time). I believe therapy doesn’t have to be stiff or scary it's a space where you get to show up as your full, messy, amazing self. My job isn’t to “fix” you (because you’re not broken) it’s to help you understand yourself better, make meaningful changes, and navigate life with more clarity, confidence, and self-compassion. Outside of sessions, you’ll usually find me drinking too much coffee, trying to keep houseplants alive, or pretending not to cry at coming-of-age movies. Therapy can be powerful, transformative, and dare I say sometimes even fun. If you're ready to get started, I’d be honored to be part of your journey.
If you’re checking out this page, chances are you’re thinking about starting therapy—which is a big deal and totally deserves a slow clap. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, stressed, heartbroken, or just tired of overthinking every text you’ve ever sent… welcome
As your therapist, my goal is to help you feel understood, supported, and empowered not like you're being graded on your thoughts. That’s where CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) comes in. It’s one of the tools I use to help you notice what’s going on in that brilliant brain of yours and how it might be messing with you a little. CBT is all about exploring the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
EMDR is a powerful therapy that helps people process painful memories, beliefs, or experiences that might still be stuck in your nervous system. You know those moments you know are in the past, but your body or mind keeps reacting like they’re still happening? EMDR helps with that.
DBT—Dialectical Behavior Therapy might sound like something you’d need a decoder ring to understand, but I promise, it’s actually super practical and surprisingly down-to-earth. Around here, I like to think of DBT as a toolbox full of real-life skills to help you deal with tough emotions, messy relationships, and overwhelming moments without wanting to throw your phone across the room.
