Going to therapy was one of the hardest journeys I have taken in life. Getting over the fear of being judged, labeled, and uncomfortable were the hardest parts. My experience in receiving therapy has given me insight to what it’s like on the other side of the couch and motivated me to provide the best clinical care possible. While the journey may be difficult to start, it is one that will never be in vain. Congratulations on taking your first step.
In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

Growing up African American on multiple military bases taught me early on about cultural sensitivity. I have always had the pleasure of experiencing different cultures, customs, and social norms due to this. I have also, unfortunately, experienced microaggressions, implicit bias, and racism in other areas of my life. These life experiences have shaped my view and help me practice with humility, honoring everyone’s experience
I love working with young adults who are in the first few years of their careers. My clients are eager to improve, but don't yet have the tools needed to make this goal a reality. They often feel stuck, overwhelmed and anxious about their next step in life.
