I am a social worker through and through. I worked in the field of serving others for over 15 years. I have lived in Texas for over 20 years and proud to call it home. I have experience working with individuals who struggle with anxiety, depression, self- harm, low self-esteem, anger, grief and loss. I think it is important for others to know that is "Okay to not be Okay" and to ask for help. Making time for self is important. I have a calming demeanor and ready to help you on your journey of decreased negative symptoms. When I am not helping others I enjoy being outside, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. I love to snuggle with my dog and two cats!
During our first session we will go over the assessments that you completed ahead of time. We will also complete a psychosocial assessment that helps me get to know you and what type of goals you may want to work on. We will also go over some important topics like confidentiality, crisis intervention and resources. I want to get to know you so be ready to share when you are ready.
I am calm and and level headed and bring a sense of safety and trust to my sessions. I want to listen to your story and help you achieve your goal of feeling better.
Individuals that are seeking individual talk therapy. Individuals that may be struggling with depression and/or anxiety. Individuals that may be seeking positive coping skills and motivated to work on obtainable goals. Individuals that may have experienced a recent loss such as a relationship, career, stable housing, death of a loved one or pet. Individuals that may need some structured goals to work on even when life happens and want to improve self-care.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Structured goal oriented talk therapy by helping the individual identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns. We will work to change these behaviors and improve depression and/or anxiety.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
Work to assist individuals that having feelings of self-harm or intense negative thinking and process emotions very intensely. We will work to accept your current reality with cognitive change. This treatment method teaches individuals to manage painful emotions and improve self-esteem and relationships with others.
