*Note: Currently I only accept individuals as an in-network provider, and DO NOT WORK WITH COUPLES using insurance. I only work with couples in private pay, and can provide a superbill if your insurance reimburses for out-of-network therapy. Feel free to book a session if you would like to begin couples therapy by paying out of pocket.* I’m a somatic psychotherapist with extensive experience in community mental health and creative expression. My work focuses on helping transitional age youth and adults, ages 17 and up, heal from trauma and emotional disconnection by using body-centered and relational approaches. I guide clients in exploring the connection between their physical sensations and emotional experiences. My goal is to empower individuals to feel more grounded, clear, and authentically connected to themselves, fostering lasting healing and resilience.
In our sessions, you can expect a warm, supportive space where you’re met with compassion, curiosity, and zero judgment. We’ll explore how your experiences live in both your body and your story, and work together toward more ease, clarity, and connection. I bring my somatic training, relational focus, and a bit of humor when it fits—creating a space where you feel truly seen and supported.
I’m known for creating a warm, non-judgmental space where clients feel deeply seen and supported. With over 20 years in mental health and a background in somatics and dance, I bring an intuitive, body-centered approach to healing. Clients often describe me as someone who helps them overcome feelings of shame and self-doubt with compassion, humor, and care. I’m deeply committed to supporting each person’s growth into their most empowered, authentic self.
Somatic
In a somatic therapy session, I guide the client to tune into physical sensations in their body to increase awareness of how emotions are stored and expressed somatically. We use grounding and mindfulness techniques to help regulate the nervous system and build a sense of safety. When difficult emotions or memories arise, I support the client in noticing their body's responses without judgment, allowing for gradual release and integration. Throughout the session, I encourage a curious, compassionate connection to the body to foster healing and resilience.
Attachment-based
In sessions with my therapy clients, I will use attachment theory to help them explore how early relationships have shaped their current patterns of relating to others. By identifying their attachment style—secure, anxious, avoidant, or disorganized—I can support clients in understanding emotional responses and interpersonal challenges. This framework will guide interventions aimed at fostering secure attachment behaviors, enhancing self-awareness, and building healthier, more fulfilling relationships both within and outside of therapy.
Humanistic
Using a humanistic approach, I will create a non-judgmental and empathic space that supports clients in accessing their inner strengths and authentic self. I will emphasize unconditional positive regard, empathy, and genuineness to help clients explore their feelings, values, and goals. This person-centered approach empowers clients to move toward self-actualization and personal fulfillment.

I was afraid to look for a new therapist, but I was so grateful when I found Kathleen. I felt safe and was able to open up right away. I really like the questions she asks me during our sessions. She seems to know when to give me time to feel and reflect and when to encourage me to be brave and try to express the truth of what I’m thinking and feeling in the moment, even if it comes out messy. Kathleen is intelligent, open, funny, intuitive, and incredibly kind. I always feel seen and supported.

I can't say enough good things about Kathleen. She has a rare ability to make you feel at ease from the very first session. She's down to earth, easy to talk to, and brings warmth and humor in a way that makes even tough conversations feel more approachable. She gently guides you forward with practical tools, thoughtful insights, and genuine care. We've grown tremendously from working with her and can't recommend her enough to anyone looking for a deeply attuned, human-centered style.
