About me

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who believes therapy should feel like a real conversation—not a place where you’re judged or expected to have all the answers. I work with teens, adults, and parents who may be dealing with anxiety, ADHD, major life changes, or simply feeling stuck and overwhelmed. My style is warm, honest, and straightforward. I’ll listen, help you make sense of what’s going on, and give you practical tools to actually move forward. Sometimes you need validation, sometimes you need a different perspective, and sometimes you just need someone to help you untangle the 37 tabs open in your brain. We’ll figure it out together.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session is really about getting to know each other and figuring out what brought you to therapy. You can expect a conversation about what’s been going on, what you’d like to be different, and what you’re hoping to get out of therapy. You don’t need to prepare anything or know exactly what to say. We’ll take it at your pace, and you’ll have plenty of space to ask questions and get a feel for whether we’re a good fit. By the end, we’ll talk about some goals for our work together and what moving forward might look like.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I bring a lot of honesty, warmth, and real-world perspective to my sessions. I’m not here to simply nod along—I’ll validate what you’re feeling while also helping you look at things from a different perspective when needed. I’m practical and collaborative, and I believe therapy should be useful outside of the session too. We’ll work together to understand what’s getting in your way, build on the strengths you already have, and find strategies that actually fit your life. Most importantly, I want you to feel comfortable being yourself, without having to filter or pretend that everything is fine.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal client is someone who knows they want something to change, even if they’re not quite sure what that change looks like yet. You might be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, anxious, distracted, or like you’re constantly trying to keep up with everything life is asking of you. I work especially well with teens, adults, and parents who are open to honest conversations and willing to look at both what’s happening around them and what they can do differently. You don’t need to have everything figured out—you just need to be willing to start.

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients make room for difficult thoughts and emotions without letting them take over or dictate their choices. We’ll explore what matters most to you, identify the patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and work toward taking meaningful steps that align with your values, even when things feel uncomfortable or uncertain.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Together, we’ll identify patterns that may be contributing to anxiety, overwhelm, low motivation, or other challenges and work on more helpful ways of thinking and responding. The goal is to build practical skills you can use in everyday life, not just during our sessions.

Somatic

I incorporate somatic techniques to help clients notice the connection between what they’re experiencing emotionally and what is happening in their bodies. We may pay attention to physical sensations, tension, breathing, or other body cues as a way to better understand and regulate emotional responses. These techniques can be especially helpful when stress or emotions feel difficult to put into words.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I use a solution-focused approach to help clients focus on where they want to go rather than getting stuck in everything that has gone wrong. We’ll identify your strengths, recognize what is already working, and build on small changes that can move you toward your goals. The focus is on practical, achievable steps that create momentum.

Motivational Interviewing

I use motivational interviewing to help clients explore what they want to change and, just as importantly, what might be getting in the way. Rather than telling you what you “should” do, we’ll work together to identify your own reasons for change, work through ambivalence, and build confidence in your ability to take the next step.
