If you're dealing with anxiety that won't let up, a life change that's left you off-balance, or relationship tension that keeps getting in the way — I can help. After 10 years as a school social worker in St. Louis, I know what it looks like when people are overwhelmed, and what it actually takes to move through it. Today I work with adults navigating similar territory: the pressure that builds quietly, the transitions that feel harder than expected, the moments in relationships that leave you stuck. My focus is on making therapy practical, grounded, and worth your time.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin building a foundation for our work together. We'll talk about what's bringing you to therapy, your current concerns, relevant background, and what you hope to achieve. I'll also answer any questions you have about the therapy process. We'll begin identifying goals at a pace that feels comfortable for you. My goal for our first meeting is simple: I want you to leave feeling like you made the right call reaching out.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I draw on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help you recognize patterns in your thinking and behavior that may be holding you back, and Solution-Focused techniques to build on your existing strengths toward goals that actually matter to you. In practice: I listen first, then we figure out what meaningful change looks like for you, then we build a path forward together. You'll leave sessions with tools you can use in real life — not just insight, but steps.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work best with older teens, young adults, and adults, who are feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or stretched thin by life's demands. Many of my clients are navigating life transitions, balancing multiple responsibilities, managing stress, or wanting to improve their relationships, communication, and overall well-being. They may feel stuck, uncertain, or like they're carrying more than they can manage on their own. My clients are often motivated to make meaningful changes, even if they're not sure where to begin. Together, we'll identify what's getting in the way, build on your strengths, and develop practical strategies that help you feel more confident, balanced, and equipped to navigate everyday challenges.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT helps us understand the connection between your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I also incorporate psychoeducation to help you better understand why you feel and respond the way you do. Together, we'll identify unhelpful patterns, develop practical coping strategies, and build skills that you can continue using long after therapy ends.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I believe you are the expert on your own life. Using a person-centered approach, I provide a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you can feel heard and understood. Together, we'll explore your experiences at a pace that feels comfortable while building insight, confidence, and meaningful change through a collaborative therapeutic relationship.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Solution-Focused Therapy emphasizes your strengths, resilience, and what's already working in your life. Rather than dwelling only on problems, we'll identify realistic goals and focus on practical, achievable steps that help you move forward. This approach can be especially helpful when you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or navigating a life transition.
