New to Grow
I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 18 years of experience supporting individuals through anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, and feeling emotionally overwhelmed. My approach is warm, practical, and collaborative, with a strong focus on helping clients feel supported while learning tools they can use in everyday life. I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we work on identifying unhelpful patterns and building healthier ways of thinking, coping, and responding to stress. Sessions are structured yet flexible, focused on both insight and real-life skill building. I may be a good fit for you if you’re looking for a therapist who is supportive, direct, and solution-focused and someone who will help you make sense of what you’re experiencing while also giving you practical strategies to move forward with confidence.
Our first session is a time for us to get to know each other and make sure therapy feels like a good fit for your needs. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, what you’re hoping to work on, and any current stressors or concerns you’re experiencing. I’ll ask thoughtful questions to better understand your background and goals, and we’ll begin identifying patterns or areas where you may want support. The session is conversational and supportive not an interrogation or a test. You’re welcome to share at your own pace. By the end of the session, we’ll discuss next steps and begin shaping a plan that feels realistic and aligned with your goals. My aim is for you to leave feeling heard, supported, and clearer about how therapy can help.
My greatest strengths are creating a safe, supportive space where clients feel truly heard while also providing practical tools they can use in everyday life. I balance empathy with structure, helping clients gain insight without feeling overwhelmed or judged. I’m especially skilled at breaking down complex emotions and patterns into clear, manageable steps. Using evidence-based approaches like CBT, I help clients build confidence in understanding their thoughts, regulating emotions, and responding more effectively to stress. Clients often describe me as warm, grounded, and easy to talk to, while also appreciating my ability to gently challenge unhelpful patterns and support real, lasting change.
I work best with individuals who are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or emotionally exhausted and are ready to better understand themselves and create meaningful change. Many of my clients struggle with anxiety, stress, depression, life transitions, burnout, relationship concerns, or difficulty managing emotions. My ideal clients are open to reflection, willing to learn practical coping skills, and interested in building healthier thought patterns and emotional balance. You don’t need to have everything figured out, just a desire for support and growth. I’m a good fit for clients who want a supportive, down-to-earth therapist who offers both empathy and practical tools to help them feel more confident and grounded in everyday life.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients understand how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected. Together, we identify unhelpful patterns that may be contributing to stress, anxiety, or feeling stuck, and work on practical ways to shift those patterns in everyday life. My approach to CBT is supportive, collaborative, and realistic. Sessions focus on building insight while also developing coping skills you can use outside of therapy, so you feel more confident managing challenges between sessions. The goal is lasting change, not perfection.
