Hi! I'm a licensed professional counselor (LPC) based in Arizona, but since I'm dual licensed, I can also see Colorado clients. I received my Master's degree from the University of Arizona and have been practicing for 7+ years. I help adults of all ages struggling with stress, anxiety, life transitions and relationship issues. My goal is to help you become the best versions of yourself. I utilize several different modalities because each person is unique; I spend a lot of time getting to know you so I can make sure I'm using the most effective approaches. If you have a therapeutic technique you're looking for, let me know! Transparency is key to making this work.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, expectations for therapy, and I'll answer any questions you have in hopes to help alleviate any fears or concerns. We will then dive into the specific challenges you're facing, as well as the goals you hope to accomplish. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Having 7+ years of experience in the field has allowed me to see a wide variety of people. I have been able to meet them where they are at and journey right alongside of them. I add appropriate levels of humor along the way, and help you see your true potential. I empower you when you're feeling low and cheer you on with every victory, big or small. You nailed that job interview and landed the new role? GREAT! You woke up this morning and changed from your sleeping pjs to your stay-at-home-pjs? WOOT WOOT!! It's all about pushing yourself a little more each day and celebrating where you're at.

My treatment methods

Christian Counseling

Bringing your faith to the front and center while allowing it to refocus you can be extremely empowering. We can incorporate as much or as little of it as you'd like during the sessions. Sometimes just knowing you're processing things with a fellow Christian is helpful enough!

Attachment-based

Your attachment style explains a lot about who you are and how you behave. By learning the 'why' behind some of your behaviors and tendencies we can work together to help you reach your goals. This usually can get covered in just a few sessions, so if you're looking for some quick answers--this is the way to go!

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Let's change your inaccurate or negative thinking into a healthier overall thought process. For every negative thought that filters in, there is an equal and opposite positive thought to challenge it. YOU are in control of your thoughts and shifting your mindset can be the key to managing your depression and anxiety.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

You are the professional in regard to your own life; tell me what has worked and what hasn't, and we'll work together to find solutions!

Couples Counseling

Understanding not only your spouse, but yourself in tandem can help navigate some of the most common relationship barriers. We'll learn healthy communication skills, appropriate boundaries, as well as structured compromise to help get you back on track.
