Hello! I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) licensed in California. I completed my M.A. at the University of San Diego and have been in practice for 3 years. I utilize a blend of theories including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), client-centered therapy, attachment, and trauma-informed therapy to best support my client's individualized needs. I specialize in working with children, adolescents and parents who are experiencing challenges like anxiety, low mood, loneliness, and/or self-esteem issues as they navigate major life transitions and stressors. My goal is to provide clients a safe space to feel validated, cared for, and confident in voicing their feelings, thoughts and needs.
In our first session, we will begin by making introductions and building a strong therapeutic alliance. We will discuss what has brought you to therapy and your goals. We will collaborate to create an individualized plan based on your needs, strengths and interests.
My greatest strengths as a therapist is my recognition of the importance of trust and a strong therapeutic alliance to guide clients through healing and positive growth. I actively strive to create a non-judgmental and welcoming safe space for clients to express themselves and work towards their personal goals. My warm, empathetic, and gentle approach, and unconditional positive regard will help clients in feeling heard, validated, and supported as they navigate the anxieties and stressors that come with life and major transitions.
I utilized CBT to support my clients in identifying unhelpful thinking patterns and learning how to effectively challenge them to view the world in a healthier and more balanced way.
Person-centered therapy is a core element of my practice. I utilize person-centered therapy to provide a warm, non-judgmental, and safe space to empower clients to realize their goals and full potential through empathy and unconditional positive regard.
