I have completed the three year Somatic Experiencing training program in addition to graduate studies and this focus is not just to heal trauma to allow you to discover your true self, true intentions and gain deeper internal congruence. Together we will work with trauma and disconnection from a somatic perspective. Our work will focus on enhancing your resilience, building greater capacity for life’s challenges. We will heal the disconnection that you may feel from yourself by accessing true self-compassion.
In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions. We will then delve deeper into the unconscious and subconscious drives that are affecting your every day life.
Because of my training and my personal history and I am attuned present and have a deep understanding of the process of healing.
Do you feel disconnected from yourself? Do you feel stuck? You may have spent many hours talking about problems and speculating on solutions and, while this has been supportive, you may feel like fundamentally the problems have not shifted. We will work collaboratively and use somatic and mindfulness-based modalities to understand and heal the roots of the distress. I harness a spiritually informed approach which will help you discover the meaning of the suffering. Somatic work will provide paths out of your stuckness which were previously undiscovered.
I have been a meditator for twenty years and inform this in my practice heavily.
I use psychoanalytic methods such as shadow work to help people understand unconscious drives.
I specialize in grief therapy which involves the ritual process of loss and integrating this into daily life
