New to Grow
We've all struggled with mental health issues. Life itself can sometimes feel burdened with depression, anxiety, and trauma, but seeking the help you deserve shouldn't be difficult. My goal is to make your mental health treatment easy and seamless, by offering evidenced-based practices in a down-to-earth, judgement free setting. Together, we will create an individualized treatment plan to dive deep into the emotional roots of your experiences in order to help you realize and refine the skills you already have so you may live the life you deserve, one without mental health burdens.
Our first session is focused on identifying the goals you want to accomplish. We will try to discern diagnostic patterns and symptoms, and then create an individualized treatment plan so you can leave the first session feeling confident about what to expect with your treatment.
My background centers around three core therapeutic modalities: EMDR, CBT, and DBT. I have found this combination has helped shape a well-rounded approach to treatment, including emotional processing, logical reasoning, and individual skill development. I've also utilized tabletop roleplaying games in group therapy settings to facilitate social growth.
I am positioned to serve clients who are ready to work through the topics and issues causing concerns in their life. I tend to have more of a focus on trauma work, however am happy to work with issues such as depression, anxiety, relationship concerns, family issues, etc. I also enjoy working with clients who value reflection and introspection, as those are concepts I utilize in my work.
Other specialties
I identify as
EMDR
EMDR is my primary treatment approach, focusing on the emotional processing of our experiences. While EMDR is traditionally a trauma-based treatment approach, it can be used for a range of mental health issues, where we focus treatment on feeling our feelings and understanding the emotional motivations we have.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use CBT as a foundation for a more grounded, logical approach to treatment. This focus will be on understanding, challenging, and unlearning negative thought patterns, typically those associated with depression or anxiety.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
I use DBT as a helpful addition to most forms of treatment and concerns. Through this style, the focus is on distress tolerance, interpersonal skill development, and learning to accept and cope with uncomfortable situations that are outside of your control.
