New to Grow
My name is Patty and a native Angeleno. I am a Bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I am I have been a practicing clinician for the past 13 years and have been trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focused CBT, Seeking Safety and Structural Family Therapy. I have worked with clients from the ages of 10-71. What you can expect of me as your therapist is that our rapport and trust comes first. You wont want to talk to me if you don't feel safe or if you feel judged. Your wellness is my highest priority.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Our first session is just data gathering, we are talking about what brought you to therapy. See if you feel like we are a good fit and we take it from there.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
My greatest strength is that I show up for you, we will laugh together but I will still redirect you that that thing you were avoiding talking about. I want you to feel like after each session you get some insight into you and feel a little lighter.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I want to help anyone who is brave enough to make the choice of starting therapy. Its a place to be vulnerable and your most authentic self. My dream client is someone who is ready to choose themselves. Whether you are coming to terms with your past traumas, attachment issues, abandonment wounds, processing a difficult break up, navigating co-parenting, empty nester, workplace drama, having imposter syndrome, balancing family and cultural expectations while finding something just for you.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
We all have thinking errors and CBT is an effective way to break down how we think. Our thoughts impacts our mood and our actions. CBT is helpful whether you are struggling with depression, break-ups, anxiety or life transitions.
Attachment-based
Early attachment experiences create these internal beliefs about ourselves. When those beliefs negatively impact our relationships and we find ourselves engaging in vicious cycles of thinking, communicating and acting, we can work together to identify, repair and reshape those patterns.
