Hi, I’m Kelly Cobb, a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a background in both social work and nursing. I have experience working in inpatient and outpatient settings, which allows me to support clients across a wide range of needs and levels of care. I work with adults who are navigating ADHD, anxiety, depression, insomnia, and other mental health concerns. My approach is supportive, collaborative, and practical. I take time to understand your unique experiences and tailor treatment to fit your goals.

I work with adults who are navigating ADHD, anxiety, depression, insomnia, and other mental health concerns.

I focus on helping you build coping skills, improve daily functioning, and feel more in control of your mental health. My goal is to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, supported, and empowered to make meaningful, lasting changes.

First session

Your first session is focused on getting to know you and understanding what brings you in. We’ll talk about your current concerns, symptoms, medical and mental health history, and any goals you have for treatment. This is also a space for you to share your experiences at your own pace. I’ll ask questions to get a full picture of your needs and begin identifying how I can best support you. If appropriate, we may also discuss potential treatment options, including medication and therapy approaches. You’ll have time to ask questions and get a sense of my style, and together we’ll start developing a plan that feels comfortable and aligned with your goals. My aim is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, supported, and clear about next steps.

Strengths

What sets my approach apart is the integration of medication management and therapy in a way that feels collaborative, practical, and personalized. With a dual background in social work and nursing, I focus on treating the whole person, not just symptoms. My style is supportive and down-to-earth, emphasizing real-life strategies that clients can apply right away. I prioritize building a strong therapeutic relationship, helping clients feel heard while also gently guiding them toward meaningful change. Clients often appreciate that our work is both compassionate and goal-oriented, leading to improved emotional stability, better focus, and more confidence in managing daily life.

Ideal clients

I am best positioned to serve adults who are seeking support for ADHD, anxiety, depression, insomnia, and related challenges. Many of my clients feel overwhelmed, mentally exhausted, or stuck in patterns that interfere with their daily functioning, relationships, or overall quality of life. I work especially well with individuals who are motivated for change but may feel unsure where to start. This includes clients who are navigating life transitions, struggling with focus and productivity, or experiencing persistent stress and emotional dysregulation. I also support those who want a better understanding of how their symptoms impact their thoughts, behaviors, and routines. My approach is well-suited for clients who value a collaborative, supportive, and practical style of care. They are often looking for clear guidance, effective coping strategies, and a balance of therapy and medication management when appropriate. I aim to help clients build resilience, improve emotional stability, and develop sustainable skills that enhance their overall functioning and well-being.

Kelly was amazing to work with. She listened carefully, paid attention to the details, and made me feel comfortable being open. What impressed me most was her focus on natural strategies for managing ADHD, not just medication. She has a warm, thoughtful way of connecting with people that made a real difference in my experience. I left feeling encouraged, understood, and with a better outlook than when I arrived. Thank you, Kelly.
