Nyob Zoo! (pronounced “nyō.zo̊ng” or “gnaw schong”) “Nyob zoo” is “hello” in Hmong (an Asian ethnic group). I am a first generation Asian-American and born and raised in rural Northern California. I understand the unique barriers and stigma of seeking professional help. I help individuals with various types of anxiety, depression, family dynamics, relationship concerns, identity development, career development and more.
In our first session together, I will ask you questions regarding your background and what is going on for you currently. I will also ask you what you would like to work on so that we can develop goals for therapy.
In therapy, I often utilize a variety of practices depending on your needs including: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapist, Psychodynamic Approach, and Mindfulness.
