New to Grow
I am a psychologist who works with a balance of warmth and precision. I pay close attention to patterns—how they formed, how they show up, and what keeps them in place. I tend to be active in sessions, helping you make connections, ask questions that matter, and gently challenge what no longer serves you. At the same time, I hold space for what is difficult without rushing it. My background includes work in forensic psychology, which has shaped my ability to notice patterns quickly and remain steady in the presence of intensity. In addition to my clinical work, I have spent over a decade teaching graduate-level psychology, which informs the way I explain complex ideas in ways that feel accessible, grounded, and useful. I see therapy as a collaborative process where understanding leads to change—not through force, but through clarity.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In our first session, my focus is on getting to know you—what brings you in, what feels most important, and how your experiences have unfolded over time. I see this work as a process of witnessing and understanding your story. I’ll ask thoughtful questions to begin identifying patterns, while moving at a pace that feels manageable for you. There’s no pressure to share everything all at once. I tend to be active and engaged, so you can expect more than just listening—I may offer early observations or connections as we talk, so you leave with a greater sense of clarity and direction. It is a privilege to hold this kind of space. Together, we begin to understand your story more fully and consider how you want to move forward into the current and next chapters of your life.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
My greatest strengths as a therapist are my ability to recognize patterns quickly, stay grounded in the presence of emotional intensity, and create a space where clients feel both understood and challenged. I balance warmth with clarity—I will sit with you in what is difficult, while also helping you make sense of it and move toward meaningful change. I am highly attuned to both what is said and what is not said, which allows me to help clients access and work through experiences that can be difficult to put into words.
Humanistic
My clinical practice is grounded in a Humanistic, person-centered framework that prioritizes the therapeutic alliance and the patient's inherent capacity for self-actualization. Leveraging extensive experience with diverse populations, I provide an empathetic, non-pathologizing environment that empowers individuals to explore their subjective experiences and achieve sustainable growth.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
I utilize Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to assist patients in balancing radical acceptance with behavioral change, specifically targeting emotion regulation and distress tolerance. My clinical experience involves implementing these skills-based interventions to help individuals navigate chronic emotional dysregulation and improve interpersonal effectiveness.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I employ Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help patients identify and restructure maladaptive thought patterns that drive distressing emotions and behaviors. With significant experience in evidence-based protocols, I guide individuals through cognitive restructuring and behavioral activation to achieve measurable improvements in psychological functioning.
Narrative
My practice incorporates Narrative Therapy to help patients externalize their challenges, viewing the problem as separate from their identity. I have extensive experience facilitating the re-authoring of personal narratives, allowing individuals to identify unique outcomes and reclaim agency over their life stories.
Trauma Informed Care
y approach to trauma-informed care is centered on establishing safety, trustworthiness, and empowerment while acknowledging the pervasive impact of trauma on neurobiology and behavior. I have extensive experience applying this clinical lens to ensure that therapeutic interventions are collaborative and avoid re-traumatization, fostering a secure environment for healing.
