Hi, I'm Morgan! I am a licensed counselor that's been in private practice since 2018. I like to think that I take a modern approach to therapy - I'm a human too. I have found that it works best if our sessions flow like a conversation, with me integrating evidenced-based therapy approaches and tools to help my clients alleviate the symptoms that they're dealing with. I aim to provide a warm environment where I balance the tough conversations/topics with getting to know all of who my client is as a person.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

I typically start a session by asking, "What's on your mind or heart?" and I end a session by giving you a few takeaways!

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

From the feedback I've received, I'd say that my genuineness, openness, and warmth makes it easy for clients to feel like they can actually stick with therapy.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I have a special interest in supporting those who have wanted to give up on therapy, are seeking a therapist for the first time, navigating motherhood, trying to find their voice, and who are striving to move forward. It is my hope that when we connect, you feel like we're a good fit and you're ready to dive in!

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I lean on ACT as a way to help reflect back the behavioral, communication, and cognitive changes that I think you're ready to make. Together we'll sort through unhelpful thoughts, focus on developing mindfulness self-compassion, identify and clarify your values so that you have more meaningful relationships with others (and yourself), navigate challenges to making changes, and learn to accept and navigate the hard feelings as they come up.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

Sometimes we all need a little validation, warmth, non-judgment, and empathy.
