My ideal client is an older adolescent or adult navigating everyday life challenges that may feel overwhelming but are not severe or debilitating. These clients may be experiencing transitions, relationship stress, identity development, work-life balance concerns, or a desire for greater self-understanding and emotional well-being. I enjoy working with individuals, couples, and families who are open to reflection, growth, and meaningful change.
In our initial psychotherapy session, we will focus on building a strong foundation of trust, connection, and mutual respect—an essential starting point for our work together. I want to understand your story—your concerns, your aspirations, and what has brought you to therapy. This first meeting sets the tone for a collaborative and supportive therapeutic relationship. The session will begin with brief introductions, followed by a review of the informed consent document, which includes important information about the therapy process, confidentiality, and your rights as a client. From there, we will explore your reasons for seeking therapy, discuss the presenting problem, and gather relevant background details to better understand your personal context. Together, we will begin identifying your goals for therapy and start shaping a personalized treatment plan tailored to your unique needs and strengths. Throughout this process, you can expect a non-judgmental, affirming environment where your thoughts, feelings, and experiences are welcomed and respected. We will conclude the session by giving you space to ask any questions or share any additional concerns. My goal is to ensure you feel informed, heard, and supported as we begin this journey toward greater self-awareness and personal growth.
One of my greatest strengths as a clinician is my ability to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns that contribute to emotional distress and behavioral difficulties. Over the course of my work as a Professional Counselor, I have developed a strong ability to guide clients through this cognitive process with empathy, cultural sensitivity, and emotional awareness. I strive to approach each client as a whole person, honoring their unique background, values, and lived experiences. My goal is not only to challenge distorted thinking but also to affirm personal strengths, build resilience, and foster a deeper understanding of self. I tailor my approach to fit each client’s needs, recognizing that effective change happens when insight is paired with validation and empowerment. Through a supportive and collaborative relationship, I help clients develop practical tools for long-term growth and well-being—creating space for transformation that respects both their struggles and their strengths.
Whether you are seeking support for communication issues, stress management, or navigating developmental milestones, I value clients who are willing to engage in the therapeutic process with curiosity and honesty. My approach is collaborative and compassionate, helping clients tap into their strengths and build skills to move forward with clarity and confidence.

In my clinical practice, I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as a foundational approach to treatment. CBT allows me to work collaboratively with clients to explore the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I use evidence-based strategies to help clients identify and challenge unhealthy cognitive patterns, develop more adaptive coping skills, and achieve meaningful behavioral change.
My approach is grounded in the principles of Person-Centered Therapy, emphasizing the importance of creating a warm, nonjudgmental, and empathetic environment where clients feel safe to explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences. I believe that clients are the experts on their own lives, and I work to honor their autonomy by fostering a collaborative relationship built on unconditional positive regard, empathy, and genuineness.
