Hello! I am a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Primary Care Nurse Practitioner. I have 22 years experience as an NP and licensed in Indiana, Idaho and Nebraska. I am also an Army Veteran (combat medicine). My expertise is evaluations, diagnosis and medication management. I also provide short-term psychotherapy. ********Accepted age group 7-55- Note: Children under the age of 18 require an extended appointment and a legal guardian must always be present at appointment. I embrace and encourage a healthy lifestyle to empower you to overcome your struggles with anxiety, depression and/or ADD/ADHD. My unique approach in helping a patient is avoid 'symptom chasing' and getting to the root of the problem, which entails a very thorough assessment and evaluation. Together, we will implement an effective treatment plan tailored to your individual needs. My philosophy of practicing 'Holistic Psychiatry' is to embrace mind, body and spirit. And in doing so, my priority is to provide you a safe space to heal, compassion, understanding and kindness. **Appointment times are reserved on your behalf, please be respectful of time. The 'no show/24 hour late cancel policy' will be enforced. Having degrees in both psychiatry and primary care, my experience and strength is seeing the patient 'holistically' and getting to the root of the problem. Dr. Adams has been incredibly supportive throughout my journey of finding the right medications. She not only guided me through the process but also took the time to educate me along the way. Her genuine care and dedication to helping others truly stand out. When my OBGYN and primary care providers dismissed my ongoing concerns, Dr. Adams stepped in, made me feel heard, and provided valuable resources to help me get the support I needed. I’m so grateful for her compassion and advocacy.
