Maureen Obiofuma is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. The first meeting will last 45-60 minutes. We will review your history, present symptoms, and treatment goals. This assessment is very detailed, so it is necessary to complete your new patient forms before your first appointment.

As a DNP advanced practice nurse, she has the highest nursing expertise and can translate evidence-based research into clinical practice to improve healthcare delivery and patient outcomes. Given her diverse nursing background and psychiatric mental health practitioner training, she has developed relevant competencies and skills. She collaborates with other healthcare providers to deliver individualized, evidence-based mental health treatment, medication management, and supportive therapy consistent with her care philosophy. She consistently demonstrates active listening skills, effective communication, and empathy to deliver compassionate and excellent clinical experiences.
