I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with the state of Texas, USA. I have training and experience in counseling for over 10 years. I only accept clients who I believe have the capacity to resolve their own problems with assistance. I believe that as people become more accepting of themselves, they are able to heal and grow. The world you want is right at your finger tips. However, self-awareness and self-acceptance are goals that take time to achieve. Sometimes this may require more time than you want. If counseling is successful, you should feel that you are able to face life’s challenges without my support or intervention. However, please be aware that neither I nor any counselor can guarantee that counseling will be successful. Your greatest asset in counseling is you; the open, honest... real you. If you have any questions or concerns at any point about this process, talk to me. If I do not know the answer, we will work to find it together. Our first session will consist of taking time to get to know each other a little, developing a clear picture of what you want from our time together, and determining a gameplan of how to get there. We will not begin "work" until the second time that we meet unless I see a need that needs to be addressed before that. You are not a program or a curriculum here. People come before process here... always.
I am not a "Kum-ba-yah" therapist. I believe in safety and healing through clear boundaries, brutal honesty, overcoming adversity, and unconditional positive regard. All of you is welcome here and required for our work. I help people get the world they want by guiding them to uncharted waters of the mind. If that is something of interest to you, then be prepared. It will be difficult. It might cost you everything you can give. You will have to cut the bull-shit/facade you have been living in and do something different. I seek to bring grace and light to the darkest parts of your life-story. We will walk together at pace you set. You will have the opportunity to re-write messages that have been costing you, sort dilemmas, and embrace the world you want.
If it works, do more. If it doesn't, stop it. This applies to our work together and your work specifically. I want to tailor each session to your individual needs and wants. People do not fit into test tubes. We will strive to put the person above the process at every turn.
