Hello, my name is Charity a dedicated Marriage and Family Therapist committed to fostering a safe and caring environment for individuals, couples and families. With a nonjudgmental approach, I strive to create a space where open communication and personal growth flourishes. I have worked with a diverse range of clients, including individuals, couples, and families. My practice is inclusive and welcomes clients dealing with various issues to include: relationship challenges, personal growth, existential concerns, and navigating family dynamics. My focus is on providing a supportive and understanding space for each client's journey towards well-being.
In my therapeutic environment, I cultivate a setting defined by empathy, warmth and a nonjudgmental approach. Creating a space where clients feel understood and accepted is fundamental to the therapeutic process. Together, we will navigate challenges with compassion, while fostering a sense of security and trust essential for personal growth and healing. We will work collaboratively to define goals and objectives. Through open dialogue and shared exploration, we will work together to establish meaningful and achievable goals that align with individual aspirations and promote positive change. This collaborative approach empowers clients, fostering a sense of ownership and motivation throughout their therapeutic journey.
My therapeutic approach is deeply rooted in the experiential model as you are the expert in your life and I am here to assist in your journey. Your life experience is just as important as my expertise and schooling. My goal is to help individuals, couples, and families learn and grow. I married my high school sweetheart who was in the Army. I became an Army spouse, a mother, a student of the world, and then a therapist. I learned how to be extremely independent and then I learned how to ask for help after my mother died. That was my first time in therapy. I know first hand how hard it is to make life changes and to question everything. I graduated college with a Bachelor's in Environmental Studies so I am science oriented which brings a unique aspect to the therapist that I have become. I learned about biological systems and then about family and individual systems. I try to bridge the gap between the mind and the body to work with them as one.
I am comfortable and experienced in treating a spectrum of conditions. My specialties include: chronic and acute health conditions, peri/post partum, grief and loss. My therapeutic approach is tailored to address the needs of each individual, fostering a safe and empathetic space for exploring, understanding and navigating the complexities associated with these conditions. Let's embark on this journey together, navigating challenges with empathy and understanding.
I work with my clients by valuing their experiences with their emotions, behavior and thoughts to help them gain insight and awareness into their own experiences in their lives.
I focus on building secure attachments and communication in session so that my clients are able to use the skills I teach them in their own interpersonal relationships.
I help my clients to understand that grief is a normal human condition and it is important to acknowledge it and work with it.
I firmly believe that individuals need a safe space in which they can express their true self with no judgements, criticisms or shame.

Charity has helped me an immense amount. We set goals and methodically worked towards them with shared focus, laughter, and tears. She is empathetic and warm but also straightforward and clear. I felt immediately comfortable with her and my progress and growth is truly incredible to me. I thought I might be stuck forever, and Charity showed me the way forward while also showing me the way back to my true self.
