PMHNP, 2 years of experience
Hi, I’m a board-certified Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, and I’m here to make the journey to emotional wellness a little less intimidating and a lot more human. Think of me as your partner-in-care — someone who listens, collaborates, and helps you figure out what actually works for you. I blend medication management, therapy, and holistic approaches in a way that fits your lifestyle and your story. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, stress, mood changes, or just feeling “off,” my goal is to create a safe, welcoming space where you feel understood (and maybe even breathe a little easier). Together, we’ll uncover tools that help you find balance, build resilience, and feel more like yourself again — living a life that feels meaningful, empowering, and uniquely yours.
When we meet for the first time, my main goal is to make you feel comfortable, supported, and genuinely heard — no judgment, just empathy. This is your space to share what’s been going on in your world: your experiences, challenges, and what you’re hoping life could look like moving forward. We’ll also go through a full psychiatric assessment and chat about your personal and medical history — not in a cold, checklist way, but as part of getting the full picture of you. Part of that includes making sure there aren’t any medical factors that might be adding to what you’re experiencing. From there, we’ll explore a range of options to support you — from holistic approaches like lifestyle shifts, mindfulness, and therapy, to medication if it feels like the right fit. Together, we’ll build a plan that’s practical, meaningful, and aligned with your values. By the end of our session, my hope is that you leave feeling heard, encouraged, and clear on the next steps — with a sense of direction toward healing, growth, and creating a life that feels balanced and fulfilling.
One of the things I’m most proud of is being able to create a space where people feel comfortable, cared for, and genuinely understood. My goal is for you to feel like you can show up exactly as you are — no masks, no judgment — and know you’ll be heard. I see healing as a team effort, built on trust, honesty, and collaboration. Your voice matters here, and together we’ll figure out a plan that actually works for your lifestyle, values, and goals. With experience across a wide range of settings, I’m good at noticing the little things that might get overlooked — asking thoughtful questions, digging deeper when needed, and tailoring care so it feels personal, not cookie-cutter. I stay curious, always learning and keeping up with the most effective, evidence-based approaches, while balancing that with real empathy and compassion. At the end of the day, my focus is on supporting your overall well-being and helping you create real, lasting changes — the kind that make life feel lighter, more balanced, and more authentically you.
I love working with people who want a compassionate, team-based approach to their mental health care. If you’re navigating anxiety, depression, mood swings, ADHD, sleep struggles, or even bigger challenges like psychosis — whether it’s brand new or something you’ve been carrying for years — you’re in the right place. Many of my clients appreciate a thoughtful mix of tools: sometimes it’s medication, sometimes therapy, sometimes lifestyle shifts like mindfulness or better sleep habits — often a blend of all of the above. Some come to me during high-stress or crisis moments, while others are focused on building long-term resilience, balance, and personal growth. The people I work best with are open to trying new strategies, curious about what might actually work for them, and ready to be an active part of their own healing journey. My role is to create a safe, judgment-free space where you feel heard, respected, and supported — so you can start moving toward a life that feels more balanced, grounded, and authentically yours.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a well-researched and proven approach for addressing issues like anxiety, depression, PTSD, and more, by helping you recognize and challenge negative or inaccurate thoughts so you can respond to life’s difficulties more effectively. In our sessions, we’ll work together to identify the specific thought patterns and behaviors causing you distress, then replace them with more realistic and constructive ones—going beyond simple “positive thinking” to develop practical strategies for healthier emotional responses. We’ll also focus on building coping skills and new behaviors, such as stress-management techniques for anxiety, and will regularly review your progress to adjust our approach as needed, ensuring the process stays tailored to your needs. Ultimately, the goal is to equip you with tools you can confidently use both in and beyond therapy to manage challenges and improve your quality of life.
Motivational interviewing is a collaborative counseling style designed to help you uncover your own motivation for making changes that align with what you truly want for yourself. Through a supportive, non-judgmental conversation in which you do most of the talking, I’ll listen carefully, ask thought-provoking questions, and reflect your words back to you so you can gain new perspective on your thoughts and feelings. This process helps you explore and resolve any mixed emotions about change, empowering you to decide what’s best for you and, if you choose, strengthen your commitment to taking steps toward your goals based on what matters most in your life.
