New clients continue care with this provider

Hi! I'm Erin. So many of us deal with anxiety and unresolved trauma on top of the stressors of everyday life. I believe that no matter your reason for seeking therapy, you deserve an individualized approach that accounts for your lifestyle, environment, and changing capacities. We will work together to explore past and current experiences that influence the way you feel about yourself, and how these feelings and beliefs influence your interactions with the world around you. I'm here to help you process a range of emotions, experiences, and challenges, while also supporting the development of practical skills that you can use to navigate day-to-day transitions and barriers. I provide therapy through a person-centered and trauma-informed lens, and account for your life's unique structure. My approach is casual and centered around creating an environment where you feel supported and heard. I am authentic and approachable, and operate from the belief that there is a place for humor in therapy.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we will start with brief introductions and general intake information. Then we will dive in to the specifics of what brings you to therapy. This will help us identify how we will approach subsequent sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My biggest strengths are working collaboratively with you on finding radical self-acceptance, coping with anxiety and stressors in a way that is realistic for your life, processing trauma and other life experiences that influence your perspective, and helping you work through relationship issues. While I have experience working with most age groups, the folks I currently work with are between the ages of 18-75. The bulk of my work with these people is focused on trauma processing, coping with anxiety and depression, working through interpersonal issues, and dealing with adversity, particularly based on social position.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I don't believe that a person needs to have formulated a specific plan or goal as soon as they come to therapy; a willingness to collaborate and account for their part in the therapeutic process is a great starting point. I love working with folks who are struggling with the balance of maintaining a sense of self in the midst of everyday stressors. Additionally, I enjoy supporting people in processing the intersection of identity and societal expectations.
