Sharon Bowen

Hello to all! My name is Sharon Bowen. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) primarily working with older teens and adults via virtual/telehealth means. I completed my Masters in Social Work at UNC Chapel Hill in 2010. Since that time, I have been in a number of roles such as a case manager, an advocate, and a mental health therapist for folks of all ages. I have worked in private practice realms, a hospital, and community settings. My goal is to help you along this journey into healing. Whether it is your first time or you have seen others in the past, I want to meet you where you are in the therapeutic process so we can move forward together. I know that therapy can bring out all sorts of feelings so I strive to provide a safe and open environment built on mutual respect. I have experience working with a variety of mental health and life concerns but some of my primary areas of focus are around depression, anxiety, life transitions, sexuality, and trauma.
