I have a relational treatment approach which means that the relationship that develops between you and me is what facilitates change. You can expect me to be somewhat casual and very approachable. I use humor and compassion to create connection. We will freely exchange ideas, and talk about experiences and the things that are in the way of positive relationships. We will make sense of your experiences and create more stability and satisfaction in all of your relationships. Making sense of complicated circumstances is my specialty. Let’s sort out your most difficult situations together.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

The first session is the time for us to begin our relationship. Since it is the relationship that develops between me and you that is the most important factor in a satisfying therapy experience, I make this our primary focus right away. This is done through talking about your goals for therapy, past experiences with therapy, and really whatever comes to mind. I am very skilled at weaving therapeutic relevance in whatever you bring.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have deep belief in the human spirit and in the transformative power of connection. I have a varied professional and personal background that allows me to relate to my clients on many dimensions. I have worked in education, sales, the military and business development. I have been married, divorced, and widowed. I have co-parented and been a step-parent. I use the depth of these experiences to enhance my clinical work.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I love working with clients who have worked extremely hard to achieve their goals and find themselves burnt out. My clients not only find ways to resolve their burn out but often thrive in ways they never thought possible.
