I am a licensed professional counselor and social worker with over twenty years of vocational, individual and group counseling experience. My counseling philosophy is: "People don't care what you know until they know you care." For half of my career, I've worked with adults with disabilities to help them discern and navigate a vocational path. For the other half of my career, I've provided individual counseling to teens and adults who have had difficulty establishing goals and regulating their emotions. I use a variety of clinical approaches, especially those from a cognitive-behavioral perspective (using strategies from DBT, MDFT and Solution-Focused Therapy). I enjoy helping people explore their values and goals within a compassionate frame.
I hope my clients feel deeply heard and seen. From within this context, I hope that people feel comfortable exploring goals and how best to achieve those goals.

My biggest strength is that I am empathic and non-judgmental. I believe this stance is critical to helping people achieve their goals.
