I want to work with you if you are between the ages of 25 and 55 and struggle with anxious attachment, people pleasing, setting boundaries, feeling triggered, anger, anxiety, depression, co-dependence, parenting issues, and ADD/ ADHD. These symptoms and attachment style are often related to each other and often related to similar childhood experiences of inconstant or abusive/neglectful caregivers. (ADD and ADHD is not cause by caregivers, however, when it goes undiagnosed in children, there is s strong correlation to symptoms described above)

Who I am My name is Danni, and I'm a Licensed Therapist. My approach is direct, heavy, and unapologetically thorough. I believe in getting to the root cause of your distress and dismantling it, brick by heavy brick. My goal is to guide you on a transformative journey toward a more fulfilling and authentic life. My Approach and Beliefs This is a form of progressive therapy, and it is driven by one core belief: that the most profound and lasting change comes from psychodynamic trauma processing and inner child work. We will not be skimming the surface. We will begin there, yes—at the surface of your current pain—but we will be following it down into the core of your past. We will find where your coping mechanisms and triggers were first formed, because our deepest parts are often stuck in the moment of their original trauma. The goal of this process is to go back to that stuck place, find safety and stability, and then walk you through the developmental stages you missed so that the "inner child" can finally grow up and become one with your current self. This is not easy. It’s intense, it can be scary, and it will require you to face things you’ve likely spent a lifetime running from. We'll be going into the depths, so you can stop just surviving and start truly living.

🌿 My Approach to Counseling Forty-four years ago, I was trained as a Holistic Social Worker, and since then I’ve had the privilege of working across the Americas — with people of all ages, backgrounds, and cultures. Over the decades, I’ve learned that healing looks different for everyone, and that true change happens when we feel safe, respected, and understood. My counseling approach is person-centered, meaning that you are the expert on your own life. My role is to support and strengthen your natural motivation to change. There are many healing traditions in the world, and I will always honor you and your choices as we find what works best for your journey. I combine cognitive (thought-based) and somatic (body-based) techniques to help you bridge the mind–body connection. My specialty is working with stress and trauma, helping you understand how your nervous system responds and what it needs to return to balance. It’s important to remember: trauma lives in the nervous system — not in the event itself. When your system becomes dysregulated, symptoms arise because the residual energy from those experiences hasn’t been released. If your system is stuck on “High”, you may feel rage, hyperactivity, anxiety, panic, or find yourself engaging in high-risk behaviors. If your system is stuck on “Low”, you may experience depression, exhaustion, numbness, disconnection, or hopelessness. Together, we’ll gently guide your nervous system toward discharge and regulation, helping your body and mind restore calm, clarity, and connection. I offer a free 15-minute consultation so we can connect, answer your questions, and see if working together feels like the right fit.

Hello potential client! You are hurting in some way if you are here reading this. Maybe you feel like you are getting more and more stressed out and just one more stressor would be too much for you to handle. Maybe you worry all the time about everything and can't stop. Maybe you are sad all the time and don't enjoy doing things that used to be fun. Maybe you are feeling helpless or hopeless about what to do. Maybe you have been through a traumatic experience or are grieving. Maybe you are thinking the way you have been using substances is causing you problems. You have tried your best to help yourself but nothing has worked the way you hoped it would. You don't know what to do but you do know you can't keep going the way you have been. This is where I come in! I help people who are ready to change for the better! My heart is for helping hurting people and I strive to treat all of my clients with the compassion and respect I believe they deserve. The most important part of positive change in a therapeutic relationship depends on just that - the relationship between the therapist and the client. I also use a variety of resources to help my clients. These include evidence-based types of therapy, worksheets and measurements. I also offer Christian counseling to those who are interested and am also happy to work with people of other spiritual beliefs. I offer free consultation calls so we can both decide if working together would be a good fit for both of us. I look forward to hearing from you if I sound like I would be your kind of therapist!

If you’ve spent your life holding the line — for your family, your community, your country — you know what it means to keep showing up even when it costs you. Whether you wear a uniform, lead from behind the scenes, or simply hold things together for everyone else, the weight you carry is real. We live in a world that feels divided. Every headline, every conversation, can become a reminder of how far apart people seem. For many trauma survivors — and especially for first responders, police officers, firefighters, and paramedics — this division can deepen old wounds. The noise, the criticism, the lack of understanding from those who’ve never walked in your shoes can leave you feeling unseen and disconnected. Therapy shouldn’t be another place where you feel judged or misunderstood. My work is grounded in respect — for who you are, what you believe, and what you’ve endured. I work with people from all political backgrounds and walks of life who’ve faced trauma, burnout, and the invisible injuries that come from witnessing too much for too long. Through gentle, evidence-based approaches like Brainspotting, we create space for your body and mind to release what’s been stored — without forcing words or reliving trauma. You don’t have to choose a side to heal. You don’t have to explain why you’re tired, angry, or numb. You just have to show up as you are. Healing is not weakness. It’s strength. It’s the courage to reclaim your peace, even in a world that keeps asking you to stay in survival mode. You’ve served others long enough. Now, it’s time to come home to yourself.

If you are struggling with issues related to anxiety and depression, you are not alone. In today’s world, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed by the daily rigors and uncertainties of life. Thoughts like “am I good enough?” or “can I do this?” typically bring to the surface feelings of sadness, self-doubt and inadequacy. Then, you retreat and live within a dark cloud that could color your experience for years. I teach people strategies to manage themselves so that life doesn't seem so debilitating. As a licensed clinical psychologist, I work together with my patients to identify and change the negative self-talk so that they can face their fears and expand their comfort zone. My areas of expertise include anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, adjustment to medical conditions and other health issues, college aged students, stress management, adjustment issues related to transitions in life, and aging and geriatric issues.
