About me

Hi, I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in California with over 26 years in the human service field and 3 years of clinical experience. I’m certified in treating ADHD in adults and children and trained in Trauma-Informed Care, and refer to various treatment modalities. I am a firm believer that we as humans have the capacity to heal our inner selfs and/or have the strength to navigate life's challenges, but at times may simply require some help to do so. And that is where I come in. I am passionate about helping clients build resilience, heal from pain, and navigate life’s challenges with confidence and clarity.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we’ll explore what brings you to therapy, discuss your goals, and develop a personalized plan that aligns with your needs. My approach blends evidence-based protocols with flexible, client-centered care to support meaningful progress.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I work extensively with individuals who have experienced trauma, anxiety, ADHD, and significant life transitions. I create a safe, supportive environment where clients feel seen, validated, and empowered. I allow clients to set the pace while offering steady encouragement and practical tools.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I enjoy working with adults, youth, and active-duty military members who are seeking healing, strength, and personal growth. I honor both psychological and spiritual aspects of wellness, helping clients discover their resilience, reconnect with their identity, and move toward wholeness.

My treatment methods

Trauma Informed Care

I have experience working with children and adults who have lived through traumatic events, including complex and generational trauma. My approach begins with helping clients establish safety and stability—emotionally, physically, and relationally. Together, we identify internal strengths and build practical internal and external resources to support grounding, regulation, and resilience. Once clients feel secure and ready, we move into trauma processing at a pace that feels manageable. I use a blend of evidence-based approaches such as guided imagery, bilateral techniques, narrative work, and talk therapy to help the brain integrate overwhelming experiences. Throughout treatment, I maintain a gentle, collaborative posture, honoring each client’s story, autonomy, and readiness. My goal is to help clients understand their nervous system, reclaim their voice, and move from survival toward healing and wholeness.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

In my work with clients, I use CBT to help identify and change patterns of unhealthy thinking that often lead to distressing emotions and behaviors. Together, we explore the thoughts that shape your experiences, learn to challenge distorted or unhelpful beliefs, and replace them with healthier, more accurate perspectives. CBT is a structured, practical approach that empowers you with tools you can use in everyday life. Through techniques such as cognitive reframing, thought tracking, and behavioral strategies, you gain the ability to shift emotional reactions, break old patterns, and build new, balanced responses that support long-term well-being.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I utilize DBT with clients who struggle with regulating emotions, maintaining stable relationships, and managing intense internal experiences. DBT helps individuals build skills in mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotional regulation, and effective interpersonal communication. My approach integrates these skills into everyday life so clients can respond rather than react, reduce emotional overwhelm, and strengthen their connections with others. I have advanced training in DBT and three years of experience applying this method in treatment.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

In my practice, I incorporate a person-centered approach with each client. I believe every individual carries internal strengths and the capacity for growth. By meeting clients where they are, I create a safe space to explore those strengths, build self-trust, and support their healing process. I have referred to and integrated this method consistently for the past five years.

Faith based therapy

For clients who desire it, I integrate faith-based perspectives into the therapeutic process. I believe healing can be both emotional and spiritual, and that faith can provide grounding, hope, and clarity during difficult seasons. This approach may include exploring spiritual strengths, prayer (if requested), biblical principles, and helping clients align their values with their healing journey. I have spent the last 5 years supporting clients who want therapy that honors both their mental health and their spiritual walk.
